  5. The Legacy of America's Favorite Sportscar began in 1953, when 319 Hand Assembled White Corvettes launched the first use of a Fiberglass Body in a production car.Which would you prefer the perfect Vintage Model? or todays 2009 corvette off the show room floor.Choose one of the two only,please...Bo

  8. Can anyone tell me when " AMERICA'S DIRTIEST JOB " will be on? It's alot like the old GONG SHOW,according to my reasearch
  9. I would like to see a separate page for the Jabo lovers.I like them myself, can not stand a steady diet of them. Also more pictures and information about legitimate vintage marble.Bo
  10. Just don't read the posts you don't want to read. . Edna Edna, by contradictory, I mean how can I know in advance if I like a post unless I read it ? I have never said I don't want to read Jabo posts, I own many Jabos myself. Edna please read your own quote.
  11. "Just don't read the posts you don't want to read. . Edna " How do you know if you want to read a thread unless you read it? Thats a bit contradictory don't you think....
  12. Steve, I can't find your book at Amazon.com, can you give me the ISBN ,thanks,Bo
  13. Lou, with all respect I understand your position . This has been tried before and it worked . At the time this board was becoming an I D for Ebay page that was solved sucessfully with the seperate I D page. And now it has become a Jabo promotion page .
  14. Well I was gonna leave this alone for awhile but I have an idea.Awhile back there was the problem with newbies and ids on the main page. Some folks wanted the ids on another page so they would not have to sift thru them to find there freinds. In my opinion that has worked out well.Maybe we should give some thought or a vote to create another area for vintage marbles or jabos, like the ID page. What do you think.Problem solved? Vintage collectors won't be annoyed and jabo collectors can build each other up. Bo
  15. Hello Kevin, good to hear from you.Yes I like the first two Joker runs also and the aces.I will tell you something, the cyclone and the aces or any of the jabos on clear glass are my favorite to collect. The reason is that since there on clear glass there is no buttcrack, maybe they should make more like that.Do you have any of those yet?Not all the Jabos before the Joker runs are poo;I found many of the 2004 superman marbles contain aventurine, they are some of my finest.According to my research this was the first time aventurine was found in a Jabo production run, green yellow and pink aventurine. You might want to get a couple of those,in my opinion they will have real value, soon.Have a great day Kevin, Bo
  16. Steve,in my opinion you are to bias to have an objective conversation about Jabo marbles. Bo
  17. Hello Steph, I respect your opinion but I think those good people would have rather had a Peltier or a CAC....etc.Did you read the part fear of retaliation from those who dissagree? Here is a recent example, specifically the part "it would be better if you said nothing". Does this promote an open forum? Bo
  18. Wow this has become a real barn burner.I have tried to look at both sides of the subject by speaking about what I like compared to what I don't like about Jabo. The last time I looked this was an open forum, meaning people should be able to give there honest opinion, without the fear of reprisal from members that dissagree.Maybe things would be different (more particapation) if this was the practice.Sadly it is not. Even though I know this will anger some I will tell another truth.I have noticed over and over again on the ID board, when members find out ther marble (being IDed) is a Jabo they are dissapointed. They say "I was hoping it was a pelt"or a CAC or MFC but they never say they wish it had been a Jabo. Why is that the case? Bo
  19. Who hijacked it Steve? Why won't you tell me the name of the 1997 JABO aventurine marble? I anticipated you would say buy the book to find out, this whole thread reads like a commercial.I am waiting to see the unamed 1997 aventurine marbles.Bo
  20. Steve you are wrong.I am talking about marbles not your friend Dave.
  21. I am not belittling Daves' work.I am sharing an objective veiwpoint. You nice people are too close /invested to Dave to be objective.I can be,because I don't know Dave or you.But now that these claims are made, collectors will make there opions known.A word about balance,as an artist it's important to cover the entire canvas.I look for marbles that are covered equally, all around beautiful,360 degrees. Many Jabo's have color/pattern on one side only.So in closing my favorite Jabo's are examples that have balance,I also like the cyclones /cobras.They are oxblood swirl in clear glass with aventurine.I especially like these because there is no buttcrack.I am really glad to own some Jabo Aces, they are beautiful marbles. These are some of the finest marbles in my collection bar none. But to say jabo makes the finest machine made marble is in my opion just not true.I'm not criticizing Dave,I'm only responding to Steve's claim.Bo
  22. Steve,I am suprised to find out jabo had aventurine marble runs prior to the 2004 superman run,or are we talking about a single marble? I would like to see pictures of these 1997 aventurine marbles.Do they have a name?I include pictures of what I beleive are from the first Jabo aventurine run, superman 2004. On the crucible idea and time frame, let me say I have been thinking about space travel and wrote stories about space travel as early as 1959 . But I have not built a space craft yet . I say if a man is limited by his tools let him build better tools .Steve I need to see pictures.Bo
