  5. Found some nice ones yesterday at an antique store.I've gotten some good stuff off ebay recently but not anything too expensive. It's a good time to go thru the old stuff and find somthin'.Like that yellow hand gathered slag I found the other day. It's been there for years and I hadn't discovered it.Got too see everything with a fresh eye.Bo
  6. There must be more orange marbles out there

  14. Hey Bob ,I totally agree with you on this."Art is simple"a friend once told me and I must agree. The other trait your marble has that makes it great is a large amount of pure white to set off the green aventurine.I like it.Bo
  15. Great pics Steph. The only way I can get good pics of aventurine is in full sunlight which has been in short supply till just this weekend.Imperials from China, interesting. They sure are pretty ,aventurine 360 degrees ,cool colors and the price was right.Looking at your pics I think I need to go thru my stuff again,I have passed alot of those types by.Thanks again for the info.Bo

  18. Edna, So if I understand you correctly?David has the good stuff and gives them as gifts to his freinds to be sold privately? And the least favorite marbles get sold on ebay.So If I just wait a little or alot longer, maybe some of the really good stuff will be on ebay? after the mill run stuff is gone?Sure would like to see some pictures of Jabo's with five colors of aventurine, can you do that?I can just imagine what they look like but really would like to see the real thing.Bo

  20. Bob,are the specks on your marble aventurine,if so they may be related.Bo
  21. Just so there is no confusion the marble to the right in this picture would be what most people would consider a blue zebra.White base with blue aventurine.Bo
  22. Not all marbles have a name, maybe they don't need one .These remind me of green melons in summer.Bo
