We all love marbles ,that's not at question here. The fact is marbles have value, unless you have so much money that money does't matter.Would you give your mint CAC and PELTS or a 2" sulfide away to children? or leave them in school yards? No,I don't think so,thats the difference between Jabo and collectable vintage marbles. For me the real excitment of collecting marbles is the hunt which is totally not like ordering new mint marbles, that takes all the fun out of it for me.That's probably why I bought some and then quit.Everyone should feel free to express there veiws without fear of discrimination.Bo

Gotta love those fuzzy ebay lots,I've picked up some that way too.

This is how I see it.Until Jabo started these special runs ,collectable marbles had no competition (other than contemporary handmades, individual artists,etc.).Jabo saw an oppurtunity and for what it cost to produce Jabo marbles they went for it.If you can't find or buy vintage collectable marbles then jabo marbles are an alternative, but they will always be the alternative to the real antique/vintage collectable marbles.I think they have made way too many ,I lost interest after the second Joker run.

I don't have any Last Dance marbles ,so I'm in. -
I have consistently done better buying groups as opposed to one at a time.

I liked it when I got that powder blue aventurine zebra and forty-one other aventurine marbles for less than $30.00 including shipment.I didn't even notice the color at auction, just bid and thought it was a good gamble. It's my new fav marble.I call it baby-blue....

Found some nice ones yesterday at an antique store.I've gotten some good stuff off ebay recently but not anything too expensive. It's a good time to go thru the old stuff and find somthin'.Like that yellow hand gathered slag I found the other day. It's been there for years and I hadn't discovered it.Got too see everything with a fresh eye.Bo

Bob,I had to count so got a pic while I was at it.Funny story,I thought I had three but what happened was!?! I bid on the bay at the last minute and put in $2222.00 as my bid,WOW!!YIKES!!.I figuered I had it covered but what if some other marble psyhco acciddently put in $2220.00? so I went back and rebid, and too late someone else got a steal!!Was that you?? Hey Bob ,I totally agree with you on this."Art is simple"a friend once told me and I must agree. The other trait your marble has that makes it great is a large amount of pure white to set off the green aventurine.I like it.Bo

Great pics Steph. The only way I can get good pics of aventurine is in full sunlight which has been in short supply till just this weekend.Imperials from China, interesting. They sure are pretty ,aventurine 360 degrees ,cool colors and the price was right.Looking at your pics I think I need to go thru my stuff again,I have passed alot of those types by.Thanks again for the info.Bo
