I have some of the green and blue shooters you have pictured in the mesh bag.I think they are Akro, they are very similar to the brown thrasher in construction. What do you think?Bo

Thanks for helping me put two and two together,I didn't remember I had those (other marbles and original packaging) till we started discussing these aventurine marbles and I thought last nite could it be a went digging .They look the same.I'll have all my stuff orginized in a couple more years at this rate.I checked the green and white aventurine marbles I just posted and they do pop under a blacklite.(flourecent)Thanks again Bo

Thanks Steph for the ballon.(were did you get it?) :4Party: I guess if the marbles in the second row were japenese pincers then the multicolored probably are too. Also here is another green AV and white combo,I'm thinking these are MK?Let me know what you think. Thanks Bo

Here are some pics I took of opposite sides.Three marbles have two seams opposite each other and are evenly swirled with color and aventurine all around. The one on the lower right side has the majority of color and aventurine on one side only, about one third of marble with no opposite seam. They all measure 5/8.They look to me like the marbles in the second row of the picture you posted. Hi Steph, the swirl looks like a ravenswood to me but I could be wrong.I shined a blacklight on it and it didn't pop.Any idea when that box was made? I know they made many versions. The box is marked made in U.S.A. Pressman toy co. New York n.y. and a number on the box 5953.Would appreciate any help,Thanks Bo

I bought that solid green aventurine marble at one of the first marble shows I went to in Las vegas. There were several to choose from ,a very nice older man told me to be sure to get one that had a pattern/swirl.Thats what I did ,it's hard to show the swirling in a picture (I need a better camera) does'nt look sprayed on.Can you tell me who made the clear base /green aventurine marbles?I didn't know akro made aventurine marbles ,I learn some thing every day. Thanks Bo

Well I got of my duff yesterday and did some yardsaling, found this hopp ching game.Everything there but the marbles,I,m guessing it dates back to early fifties? Also picked up a pretty little ravenswood liberty,I'm looking forward to finding a lot of good stuff this summer.Bo

Hi Tim,those pictures are great!! ,I can see right in the marble. The only thing I can think of that might improve on the selling angle would be a template.Instead of a square picture you would have a round picture and only the marble is seen,no background. The most sucsessful sellers on ebay IMHO use a template .Programs that have a template like that are out of my price range,my price range is really cheap.Hey does anyone know where we can download a circular template,in my price range ,free? Seriously Tim those are great pictures,I hope to see more soon. Thanks Bo

Thanks for posting those ,they are reeeeally beautiful!!! .Bo TGIF :Happy_143:

Here is a marble lamp Judy and I made together.I did the sheetmetal work and she did the plasma cutting. The marbles are cats-eyes and the one green shooter. This would probably be a mood light more than a marble display.I'm planning to make more based on this design, hope you like.Have a great day,Bo :Happy_457:
