  3. This book is a recent find of mine ,in the last two years maybe, seems like yesterday.During discussion the other day I was informed that this book is a very rare find.So I will post some pics.Guestions ,discussion,I don't have any research this is it.The book. Sorry if I have ruffled any feathers.Bo
  4. Thanks Steph for sharing your thoughts, interesting subject.Bo
  5. Why single me out,I am merly agreeing with some of the other members, you guys need to chill out.
  6. Originally the sight was started to discuss Real Vitage marbles. The focus is changing or has changed to a place where some wan't to show there wares, mostly the Jabo folk.Everyone want's to plug something from time to time, but NEW JABO........TODAY!!!!! everyother day.I am bored with it and they all look the same.
  7. How about aventurine in in the red? if that helps
  8. Close call on the liberty-ish one.Somebody likes em!!
  9. Very,Very Nice marbles.Happy Easter,Bo
  10. Felicia, your husband is very talented! I liked the site,....cool.Yes I drew that,Judy and I are taking a pastel drawing class,it's lots of fun.We had a short break and we will be starting another eight weeks.Teacher says she can teach me to draw marbles. That will be awsome!!!Thanks Bo
  11. Some more Akros. That blue/green one on the left is a blueberryade
  12. Thanks Felicia,I believe they are Akro blackwidows.Hey, nice trays Steve.
  13. I dug out all my Akros,Felicia I don't know who made that aventurine marble.I did pick it over some others available because it does have a pattern, and it's awsome.
  14. WOW!!Great marbles everyone!!! I'm gonna put a pic up I got already.Later I'm going to put up some Akros.Nothing like those hand made corks???,but should be fun.Bo
  15. Lou,I think that a seperate Vintage page would be an improvement,at least for me.The board has been slow anyway, maybe more people would participate if they didn't feel like they were being brainwashed with Jabo marketing .Vintage collectors would like to talk about and see some good old mibs.It seems to me that the Jabo folks just want to market there stuff.
  16. Hi Felicia, great idea.I've posted these before but they are my favorite.I haven't been around much latley, busy time of the year.I have had time to go through my entire collection and took out every Akro I could find.I'm going to be asking some questions soon.Bo
  17. We all love marbles ,that's not at question here. The fact is marbles have value, unless you have so much money that money does't matter.Would you give your mint CAC and PELTS or a 2" sulfide away to children? or leave them in school yards? No,I don't think so,thats the difference between Jabo and collectable vintage marbles. For me the real excitment of collecting marbles is the hunt which is totally not like ordering new mint marbles, that takes all the fun out of it for me.That's probably why I bought some and then quit.Everyone should feel free to express there veiws without fear of discrimination.Bo
  18. Gotta love those fuzzy ebay lots,I've picked up some that way too.
  19. This is how I see it.Until Jabo started these special runs ,collectable marbles had no competition (other than contemporary handmades, individual artists,etc.).Jabo saw an oppurtunity and for what it cost to produce Jabo marbles they went for it.If you can't find or buy vintage collectable marbles then jabo marbles are an alternative, but they will always be the alternative to the real antique/vintage collectable marbles.I think they have made way too many ,I lost interest after the second Joker run.
