  1. I found it but I can`t figure out how to copy it here - - - STEPH! Heeelp meeeee ..... Steph`s Study Hall, Mostly Pics, Peltier - p. 13, a little ways down, in a post by West Coast Dave, Aug. 11, 2016. Or someone else who`s not dealing with a new laptop that did not come with an instruction book - - - (I`ve ordered one)
  2. Agree, not Copperheads. They`re lacking the "copper" coloring, among other things. I have a couple. I think I posted one on this site a few years ago. I`ll see if I can find it.
  3. Looks like a blue CAC slag to me.

    😲

I can`t get past the first Hubble image!
  5. [An aside: Spotted Dick is an old gelatinous pudding loved in the old British Royal Navy - for some reason - and featured raisins as the spots. I once found an imported can of it and gave it to a friend for Christmas! And yes, the old china marble of Steph`s is officially a Spotted Dick. Of course I have one too. How could I not?]
  6. And why is everybody dumping cilantro in everything these days - the "latest recipes," some otherwise trustworthy prepared foods, etc.? I`m not the only person I know who has a "cilantro gag" issue! Do they not understand that to some of us cilantro tastes like slightly rancid dirt with a little soap thrown in??
  7. X 3, not quite enough colors for Akro - plus that pale green predominating . . . but nice, brighter than the usual Master.
  8. No - and I remember Winnie was sure they were German. So was the German guy I got some of my nicest ones from in a trade (two peewee onionskins w/ mica, for every German he had). He even requested that I always keep a big, worn, and slightly chipped green one because it was his favorite "player" when he was a kid! So it has an honored place with me.
  9. I`m not sure I`m seeing enough clear for it to be a Popeye -
  10. I collect pouches, but only randomly. Not many company ones - usually oddballs. This looks familiar, but that`s as far as I can take it.
  11. Somehow I never think of these! Probably `cause I only have two . . . .
  12. ? They did ? I didn`t think Akro made swirls.
  13. Can`t wait to see the shirt! It`ll turn some heads at a marble show . . .
  14. Thanks for posting these, cheese - they make it perfectly clear that the OP is a JABO.
  15. Yes. They`re Venetian glass.
  16. Belhaven - about fifty miles east of Greenville, on the way to the Outer Banks. Next time you come this way . . . .
  17. But still, a nice Imperial. They do exist!
  18. It worked for me. I still have blinding gaps in my knowledge of machine-mades, but it doesn`t bother me a bit. I bought a few small lots of machine-mades in the beginning, just to get a feel for them, but after that I only bought Individual marbles, considering my money better spent in that way. I really bought only Peltier, Akro, and Alley. And Champion Furnace Swirls when I could get them. I decided I wasn`t all that interested in other companies, just buying the occasional Vitro, Ravenswood,MK, Champion etc. that really appealed to me as individual marbles, not because they`d been made by a particular company. So I have some nice examples of other companies` marbles, but that`s about it. I doubt you`ll ever see me commenting in an ID post about any of them. That approach allowed me to buy more and nicer examples by the companies I was really interested in (including some decent CACs that I would not have otherwise been able to afford). And some nice contemporary glass artists` marbles. I`m happy and satisfied by that decision I made long ago. Besides, as an art historian, I know you can`t know everything about everything, but knowing a lot about a few things is fun! And of course, over time, you do start to soak things up about other companies - I do read all the ID posts, no matter what they`re about . . . .
