  1. I'd say every time somebody chucked whatever was available into the tank . . .
  2. Very pretty. I haven't seen one with those exterior band colors. I like it better than an orange/white one I have that has blue and red outer bands. I guess it's the green that changes the whole character of it for me. Great. Now I'd rather have that one. Thanks a lot. greg!
  3. I collect trade beads. Not as single-mindedly as marbles, mind you. But they look Venetian to me. With "lutz" bands. Probably 1900-1930. In great condition. Nice! Yep, she will like them!
  4. With lstmmrbls and mibcapper here. Solidly. Otherwise, with ManofKent: "I don't come here for arguments about religion or politics." Although I will say, standing up for one's beliefs at great personal cost is a profoundly American thing to do.
  5. I'll say CAC. With a chance of Alley.
  6. I think you're right, Steph . . . the colors look more John Deere than any Akro I can place. Is the green a little transparent?
  7. Who, moi?? Never been silly a day in my life. Nope.
  8. You may be thinking of a cold roll. But that's a feel-able dip or rise in the surface glass. Annealing fractures are generally just internal. Lots of times they can have an odd mirror-on-edge appearance -- and are pretty fine.
  9. The flames -- where there are some -- are usually long and slender, coming to very narrow points. Like these --
  10. "Just" another plain ole Pelt . . .
  11. That last one (white, blue, yellow) is a three-V one -- early-ish Japanese. The one just before it also. The first one is a Vitro hybrid. Not sure about the others.
  12. I like that kind with the thin edges of another color . . .
  13. Striped transparents, yes -- not banded transparents. Mindslip.
  14. Sucking the brains out of Little Red?
  15. Then you're a full-fledged member of the Club! I might have too many sub-categories for some people, but here's how I usually think of it -- and now that I think of it, I'm not sure I'd call it an onionskin, either . . . Threads or blotches or streaks of color on white or yellow (although the the core is generally transparent colorless) = onionskin. Threads or blotches or streaks of color on transparent colorless glass = banded transparent. Narrow, equally-sized threads or ribbons (of a variety of colors) running from pole to pole on a transparent colorless (or sometimes tinted) base = Joseph's Coat. Don't know if that helps any. I'll see if I can find some good examples.
  16. Just so you know. We all have a Mystery Mib Box. All of us!
