  1. My father was an LP gas man, so "flammable" and Inflammable" started bothering me early . . .
  2. I'd say WV swirl with a chance of Alley . . . I've seen those colors before in a couple of odd Alleys I have . . .
  3. What she ^^^^^ said.
  4. Then you're now a bona fide member of the marble-collecting community!
  5. Me too. One of those half-hearted ones . . .
  6. Never ready to lose a parent. Lost daddy unexpectedly (aneurysm) more than 30 years ago; lost mamma expectedly about 20 years ago, but still was not prepared for it. So sorry, Steph..
  7. Agree with M. F. Christensen . . .
  8. I have one of those lime-y-green ones, like the one in the middle . . . but it's the only one I've found in that color.
  9. It's an old hand-gathered slag. Can you take a pic of the side directly opposite the "9" that you can see in the first photo? Depending on what that other side looks like, it could be M. F. Christensen. Or not.
  10. I don't have enough sizes to be very helpful, but I'll be curious about the colors -- are you including lavender in your purple category, or counting it as a separate color?
  11. ^^^That was the soap girl! I knew I remembered a soap girl with a marble from somewhere, and that it wasn't the same as the kool soap man Steph posted in another thread, but I couldn't take it any farther than that . . .
  12. I found it -- "I only found a few of my collection [of Euro sparklers] in Germany, while I was there, the rest of it, I've found in France, every summer we have holliday in France and of course I did my homework there. For me it is 100% sure that the European Sparklers were also made in France, and I think most of them. "In the south-east of France, there is an area, that's looks very much like the area around Lauscha Thüringen, also this area is famous about it's glassworks, for example the presse papiers were made there. The sparklers must have been made, in, or close to the village of Biot, in the middle of that area. "More then once, this was told me by an antiqairian. Also the marbles here were made in the same way, as they did in Germany, by leftovers, kind of EOD's. Cees" And a little later -- "About the [other] sparkler types, I really don't know where they have been made, I can found them in so many European country's and there are so many different type's at this moment I'm a bit lost. I've a sparkler type with Bonux printed on it, i've also one with Bonux engraved, think the engraved one is older. Cees" I have one with printing on it but I think mine says AJAX instead of BONUX. I'm old. I forget. I'll look tonight.

    Pelt Patches

    A recently-acquired PPP -- not a transparent base, but the patch is . . . different.
  14. They're ringing a dim bell in my head, too . . . somewhere I have some info from a European collector about finding all of his "Euro" sparklers in France. I'll look for it.
  15. I like the transparent pink in particular. Congrats on getting it rolling!
  16. Me too. Dave's made some nice marbles.
  17. Not sure about the blue and red ones. They might be Alley Agate swirls from the St. Mary's location. If you have a chance, post one or two other views of them?
  18. My imagination fails me. I cannot comprehend how you would figure all that out.
  19. Or maybe one of those some call "Whisplers." European, anyhow, and certainly related to the Euro sparkler, if not one itself. Assuming it's vintage, like Steph said. Looks like it to me, but I'll defer to Winnie, if she stops by . . .
