I found this, it's from Marblealan... PARROTS Arguably the most popular Vitro Agate marble is the Parrot, so named because it usually contains four or more colors. These marbles are white-based and have colors brushed on the surface; sometimes one or more of these colors form a "V" and the better formed the more valuable the marble becomes. Common colors on a Parrot include red, lavender, yellow, green, black, and light blue, and sometimes different shades of one particular color. Sometimes the green patches will contain aventurine. Parrots tend to be large, at least 3/4" and up to 1". More recently, Vitro-Agate produced a smaller version containing many of the same colors but which are veneered. These have been dubbed "Parakeets" by some collectors. This marble is slightly under 5/8"...

I think the issue, is actually the size of the mibs... The Parrots being 3/4 to 1" and the Parakeets being smaller then 3/4...

Where can I find the discription of a Parakeet and a Parrot??? We need to do some investigating here...

Have already spoke to her, she told me to rest assured on the packing... No two marbles will touch...

Not really sure David... I am to new to the Vitro's... I was mainly interrested in Akros and Peltiers... I do have 8 parrots now, and one little parakeet... LOL

Look at the description of the Parrots... Akro Superman Corks??? I've exchanged emails with Lisa the seller... She assures me the marbles are like new... She received several emails from do-gooders, advising her she had Vitro's not Akro's, and she opted to leave it the way it was, and just offer a full refund plus postage if the winner wasn't happy... Very nice lady...

Hi Gang, Haven't been around in a while... I need some help with these mibs... The owner says they are Akro's... I have my doubts because of the size and the colors... They are all 1" Dia.

Hi Ruth, Just wondering what is the diameter of those two "Spotted Dicks" you just got??? I have one, diameter is 7/8... The one that Cees posted is the same as mine... They only have 5 spots total, one on each pole and 3 around... Count those spots again and see if you come up with 5 instead of six... It would make me feel better... Or maybe your mibs are a bit larger then ours...

Hi Steph, I apologize for being so pushy, but I was really pressed for time on the bidding for these mibs... I mean down to the last minutes... The bid was 50 something so with all your help and others, I entered a 150 bid and got it for 93... Those parrots are awsome... Not a pinprick, flea bite or gnat poop... Wet mint+... I will get some photos uploaded, soon as Galen helps me straighten out my new camera...

Hi Galen, I just took those "Parrots" outside in the sun... To my amazement, the green is loaded with aventurine... I never would have seen it if you hadn't said something... TY Buddy... I need another hands on chat with you about my camera too... When can we do it??? (847)244-7045...

I just had to add to this thread... I received this lot of marbles yesterday, and every marble is in "Wet Mint+" condition... What a surprise to me... The parrots are awsome... I have been procrastinating about about my new camera... Galen tried to help me set the shutter speed and the lighting controls on it, and all I get is to dark of pictures... Something is wrong with those settings... I need some help with my Cannon, before I can post a decent picture... I'll try it again with Galen, when he gets the time... Have a good day all...
