  1. Who made the "eyeball" marble for the movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean"?
  2. The original was plastic and was meant to clutter up your shelves as a trinket.

  4. If you have modern glass and hit it with a reduction atmosphere in your glory hole, you can get it to look like old glass.

  6. a lot of buffing questions stem from your perspective as to what you are looking for, IE increased value, or aesthetics. Me personally, I have only had 3 large marbles either polished or buffed. A small sulphide so beat you couldnt see inside- turned out to be a number 3, a swirl that looked like the moon x 100, and another large swirl that was completely frosted over - this one I only hit it with a low grit just so I could see the colors/patterns.
  7. approx 600 tons of clearies, some with a metal sheen, others are just solid colors. must have a tax number to get them.
  8. fixin to make a buy here in a couple days. Will post some pictures then.
  9. What the title says. I can get a lot of them. They've been out of biz for a few years now.
  10. same process he uses. make a cube, saw the corners and grind away to make a sphere. Doable.
  11. not all catseye cane but still looks nice. black aventurine, end of day panels, lutz ribbon and some solid green aventurine, and black with strands of lutz.
  12. For aesthics, and clarity, you really dont need to polish under 3000. Only when you desire to see the micro structure of the glass would you consider going lower on the grit.
