    Vitro?

I'm trying really hard to see Vitro, but the glass doesn't look like it to me.

    Vitro?

Disorienting. Mighta leaned Alley on top and Akro on bottom .... but they look related so no idea. Does either one have what you can identify as two seams?
  3. Mr. Peltier and Mr. Pink are smiling down on you from heaven. (Peltier Rainbo) .
  4. I've heard of a Jabo Ghost, but this is something else.
  5. If that black and white has just the one white patch, I'm still leaning toward Akro, but I don't know.
  6. Here's one of Paul's Alley flames. This one is super nice, and you wouldn't need to have as many tips as that to qualify as a flame, but it should give you an idea. @jeeperman
  7. Ron has been that for all of us.
  8. A green or blue background might make the pink pop.
  9. The top view on that black and white looked completely Akro. Might benefit from more views. Alley seems a good guess on the swirl. I don't see a clear flame pattern. Need several flame tips showing in the same view.
  10. That's what I call it .... never was clear whether it was okay to call a rainbo that ... but that's what I call it anyway.
  11. I'm going with it being a swirl, so I might only expect small cutlines, if they're even visible. I'm thinking it's more that the glass folded onto itself than a seam with most of those lines. I want it to be Alley. I don't always get what I want.
  12. One of these things is not like the other one .... Sorry for the small pic .... that was back when I just figured out that one of my Rainbow Reds was really ...... a 7-up
  13. I have a few rainbos I've been enjoying again recently.

    Jabo?

Hmmmmm ... normal size? Did it come with vintage or modern? I'd keep Alley as a possible candidate for now.
  15. (To me the top view shows two seams with the marble folded so that they are close to each other.)
  16. Welll ... if vintage then I'll go with Akro Milky Oxblood. And I am assuming vintage.
  17. When I see that oily iridescent finish, I think Vacor or Asian. There are some dark iridescent ones here: https://www.billes-en-tete.com/liste_billes.php Possibly the Steely Torpedo? I don't have any so I can't check to see if they have anything hidden under the finish.
  18. I'd say really good chance of being foreign. Not Vacor though, in my opinion. Not a style I'm familiar with anyway. Possibly Asian? I so very much look forward to learning more about what kinds of marbles are available in South Africa. You can't know how exciting that is for me. Whether it tells us about how other known manufacturers imported into your country, or possibly reveals the existence of manufacturers we did not know about yet ...
  19. Pelts seem the most likely to go wonky among the vintage marble set.
  20. Tiny little seams don't say Akro, yet Akro was still my first thought. With the tiny little seams, I guess it could be Master. I suppose the glass would fit with Master also. But with the condition of it, maybe it was a dug marble ... which puts me back to Akro.
