  1. ooh, blew that up to full size for full flavor
  2. I wish I was chill enough to have a pocket marble. I'd fling it across the room though digging for a kleenex or something.

Neat. I only ever did one clay item and we never fired it. Not on a wheel.
  6. We're straying from the topic in a big way. Might be cool to start a new thread on the blueboy versus superboy examples. Or could add them in the marble comparison thread here: http://marbleconnection.com/topic/20318-marble-comparison-thread/
  7. Sounds like a challenge! (sweet onyx, Paul)
  8. David Chamberlain received some of the marbles and communicated with the seller and clarified some points. They were acquired in France but had a label/information saying made in Vietnam. Acquired around 2000, so could be from the 1990's.
  9. I LOVE the swirl. And the other two ain't shabby. $10
  10. So, I guess these marbles which we thought of has "handmade in China" may have come from places like Vietnam as well or instead. Not earth-shattering news. But it got me going for a minute, seeing a different country name there.
  11. Someone is selling these on facebook. The description: They're currently in the Vacor group on FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/246265449155394/
  12. Most WV swirls were made from the 30's to the 50's. At least one company, Champion, stuck it out longer though.
  13. Waves at Nancy! Long time no see. How ya been? I'm thinking Cosmic Rainbows. Vitro. Parkersburg. 1980's, I think. Popular. Not all that easy to find. Here are some pics. http://marbleconnection.com/topic/15140-vitro-cosmic-rainbow/
  14. Neat story, Jason. I asked about marbles at some of the sales and one of the sellers did have marbles at home -- but not selling -- she had some sulphides, so I got to talk about 'em a little and share some factoids even if I didn't get to see 'em. Cool, John! (Is she ebaying the watch? Or happy to now have a $1000 watch of her own?)
  15. just think how great corks would look turning around in that
