  1. Here's a pic from Marblemiser. Dotty one on the right. (Wonder how he's doing. Haven't heard from him in awhile. Ray, if you see this, *waves*.) Some more:
  2. Here's a kinda dotty one Source: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/8072957_christensen-clear-base-guinea-marble
  3. Wandering around looking for some dotty ones. .... I guess the opposite end is the cobras .....
  4. I know the answer to the knight problem. Still not an idea on the light problem. Was hoping for the fancy kind of switch. With just on-off switches, I have to go back to the drawing board .....
  5. What kind of switch is it? Is it an on-off switch. Or is it the kind with a knob which allows you to adjust brightness?
  6. A forgotten boxtop ... it's in the Akro Timeline thread but I apparently need more refreshers. P.s., this is also a reminder about Popeye boxes not being all Popeyes. Your wicked oxbloods coulda come in a box like this ... maybe?
  7. Well, I have seen the boxtop before. I'm not seeing it on an actual box so far in my search this afternoon, but I saw it in an ad before:
  8. Craig, is the graphic good on the box? It's not a boxtop I'm familiar with. It didn't cross my mind that there could be anything wrong with it, but as I glanced at it I was conscious of not recognizing it.
  9. 10 Phrases From Shakespeare We Still Use 400 Years After His Death
  10. I would ask Winnie to help me. Since we wouldn't be able to hear each other through the door when it was closed, we would prearrange a code. She would flip the first switch on and off once. Then she would switch the second switch on and off twice. Then she would switch the third switch on and off three times. Then by the number of times the lightbulb came on, I would know which switch she was using which worked. And I would get to meet Winnie. So that's my answer to the riddle.
  11. LOL! Yes! That was teh awesome!
  12. Excellent! I thought these existed in the big sizes but as of yesterday wasn't totally sure. Thank you for the reminder.
  13. Yes, they are! Why didn't I see these yesterday. *goes to see what other posts I might have missed from yesterday*
  14. Does the room have a ceiling?
  15. Oh my goodness. I had no idea. Thank you for letting us know.
  16. Fwiw, I thought I could see where cutline(s) might be on this mib.
  17. I could really learn to like sulphides Troubadour
  18. So ... now the hunt is on for the most dotty guineas we can find .....
  19. The recent discussion reminded me again that I don't know what the signs are to look for in "real" guineas. What colors are good. What kinds of things can happen with the spots. So here's a thread just for posting a whole bunch of guineas. (picture from a Morphy auction)
