  1. Well nice to know I'm not weird.
  2. And nice video. I skipped ahead to the last two minutes this time even though the whole thing would be fun, I know.
  3. Fishertechnik sounds like our Erector Sets ... except I haven't heard about Erector Sets in decades. I wonder if we have any communities like that in America. It's awesome that you do.
  4. I gotta bump this. I can't help myself. What is the size of the biggest one back there? It's astounding.
  5. No theme. No particular reason. Just marbles. Please join in. A Kevin Nail auger commissioned for me by a friend.
  6. It _is_ beautiful. Some nice action inside. It's likely a West Virginia swirl. There were many marble making companies in West Virginia making swirls in the 1930's through 1950's. Can be hard to pin down a specific company out of all the possibilities. Someone might recognize it though. *fingers crossed*
  7. P.s., folks will be curious about its size. Is it 5/8" across (that's standard) or 1" across (that would be big) or ???
  8. I don't recognize it. How about starting a new thread in the ID section for that one?
  9. The red/white/green ones are Vitro All-Reds. The red/green/blue/white ones are Marble King Tri-Color Rainbows. All likely from the 60's (or maybe late 50's). Not valuable. But good to have for a well-rounded vintage collection.
  10. Had the high bid long enough to get my hopes up but I did not win. 15/16 inch.
  11. Those are some nice marbles from the 1940's to 1960's. Maybe some from 1930's. I don't see pricey ones. It's a solidly vintage group though. That's a good sign. And someone might recognize more value in some of the swirls than I do. There's a red, green and white one near the top I'd like to see the other side of. (That's what I wrote in response to post #4 before I saw the notice for post #5.) In Post #5, at least two of those look like Vitro cat's eyes. Maybe all three. Cat's eyes are generally among the less valuable marbles, but you have a three color hybrid there and that raised the value of the cat eye. I'm not sure how much to. But treat that one nicely.
  12. Check out the sizes of the "Acme"s listed in post #7 here: http://marbleconnection.com/topic/12733-acme-realers/?p=108127 _Looks like_ 9/16" up to 1". Some of the realers in the earlier posts look like a pretty bright orange. I can't find my patch box so I can't check what I have.
  13. 13 seconds before the auction ended and the euroswirl was still mine. Then boom! What a pretty marble.
  14. Dayang. It didn't turn red out here. Maybe a little orange but not enough to see why it was called blood moon.
  15. I have seen some roughly 1/2" marbles that I consider realers. Had them in my possession while trying to help ID someone's marbles. But I can't remember if I have any. I think all the ones I have might be 5/8".
  16. Cave. With internet. That's for me.
  17. When I look up Peltier Smilies I see something which was said to be a fantasy box from around the time of the Novas ... maybe? http://marbleconnection.com/topic/16969-peltier-smilies/
  18. I thought the blue spotted handmade something was pretty cool ... and then I saw the euroswirl. OMG!
  19. Jiminy Christmas. Where were you watching from? A lunar orbiter?
  20. Got to see it. Without leaving home. That was very cool.
