  1. These look to be some early (Gibson) contemps. Chuck G---
  2. I would say a Peltier in my book. Chuck G---
  3. X2, agree with Chad. Chuck G---
  4. Fire, is the (blue) that shows on my monitor actually green? Does it have any UV to any of it? Chuck G---
  5. Fire, I have some of these variant examples. I agree with Chad. These seem to be (odd), just whacked out colors. Chuck G---
  6. Fire, the Peltier "Colorado" is this. This example has a (transparent clear base with swirls of green orange and white. On my monitor, it shows blue, not green. No name for this example that I know of. Do me a favor, put it under a (black light) and report back to us, i am very curious. Chuck G---
  7. Fire, as far as I know, (could be wrong though), there is no pee wees of this family type .It is like a pee wee Akro pop eye pee wee. If anyone knows that there is such an example, please show us. Chuck G---
  8. Fire, do not think Peltier, see what the others have to say. Chuck G---
  9. I would agree, noting that the oxblood is a richer deeper color than normal, which i think is very inteersting. Chuck G---
  10. Crystal, (YES), in my opinion a very super nice example of a hybrid Akro Pop Eye. This one you (hang onto) as they are not that easy to find. If you go back in the archives and look at one of my old post you will see the same marble in my photo, I think. I have collected for a long time and certain Akros i like the best, and hybrids are one at the top. All the criteria is there for a hybrid. Chuck G---
  11. Fire, what you have is a variant of the "Blue Angel", but it is (not). This example lies in the family type by the colors on it. Let me explain a little more for you. In many years of collecting you (learn) a lo. It is not a Kokomo in my opinion, but with so many marbles being produced, i have never seen a Kokomo like this. That does not meant there could be, with marbles anything is possible. Ok, In the family of "Blue Angels" you will find (different) colored bases. What is dominant in color make up is this yellow and blue color. All the family variants will contain these two colors, but the base color changes. So far I have found I have found this yellow and blue on a clear base, a translucent base and an opaque base, then you have it on the rarer base of (tan). I might also add that the same colors are on the Peltier pee-wee "Wolverine" as it lies on a lighter translucent base. I have not found any other color combos than what I have mentioned so far, but always on the (hunt). If anyone has an example in this family type other than what I mentioned please post a photo. Hope this helps you. Chuck G---
  12. Super nice example for sure, one has to (LOVE) this color combo, reminds me of the ocean and sky. A challenge for you, see if you can find an Akro "Blue Blood" on this blue base. Chuck G---
  13. Crystal, YES, an Akro cork and very pretty. I have a couple big large shooters like this. Chuck G---

    Both Pelt ?

Mojo, first one yes, do not think so on the second one. Chuck G---
  15. YES, an Akro "Pop Eye" for sure. These can be found with some searching, but the extra colors, one might throw it into the (hybrid) category. There are three shades of this purple color, a light version, then the regular purple and last, the (egg plant) dark purple. egg plant purple was tagged many years ago being an almost black version but super dark. Your example has the egg plant purple, the yellow and white but also with an earth tone type of tannish/yellow so in my opinion most call it another color. Of the regular production colors the (red, white and blue) is the most sought after, then comes the (purple, yellow and white) next in line for popularity. of all Akros, my favs are the (hybrids). Chuck G---
  16. Charlie, let us see what some others have to say about this example, I am curious. chuck g---
  17. No "Blue Clown" in my mind. What is talked about in my opinion is a "Champion Jr" family type. chuck g---
  18. I agree with Al, as they are "Rainbos". The first one some say, a "Super Boy or Spiderman", the second one I know as a "Land n Sea". an off shoot of the "Cubscout". Both may contain av. chuck g---
  19. I agree with the others. These examples are in a category by themselves. What category would that be is the question? Not in the "Dragon" family type or maybe more towards the "Citrus" as some may say. I (myself) put them into another family type, but what is that? Let the collector decide on that. chuck g---

    Hidden Pelt

looks to be a pelt, but messed up, looks like the ribbons washed over the base a little. chuck g---
  21. Mojo, (all) look to be pelts for me, that you have shown below the top group photo. chuck g---
