  1. Melissa, how about a Peltier "Cyprus Tree". Looks like the leaves on a Cyprus tree before it goes dormant for the winter. WOOPS!!! sorry best watch sticking a name to another marble, ruffle some feathers. I have some of these examples, and they are (NICE). Chuck G---
  2. Steve, (sorry) i got (out numbered) on your example. I do think the guys are right now that i looked at it a little closer, my bad. Chuck G---
  3. Pride of the Prairie Marble Show, will be held on April the 4th 5th and 6th. I have been getting calls on this and i will be working on fliers and cards to be sent out. Hope to see some of my GREAT friends. Chuck G---
  4. Joe, i agree, (possibly) a Vitro. Chuck G---
  5. Art, think i will put my two cents in this subject. The term "Tweener" is a very good term, as i like it as one can also add this into maybe a (named family type) also. I have heard the term "Lemon-Lime" some years back. "Girl Scout" has been around for years also and (guessing) started with Marble King. Peltiers "Lemon-Lime" can be as Ric mentioned up to six ribbons. Most know it by the plain four ribbon examples. I have found these with (obverse) colors also. A yellow opaque base with four green ribbons, opposite of the green base and yellow ribbons. This example of yours i could also talk about it possibly being in the "Citrus" family as some look at them this way, having four or six opaque yellow ribbons. You can also find your example with half of the base blue. Some of my thoughts to this as a very good thing to discuss. Use this as you may. Chuck G---
  6. Steve, i would say so, everything seems to be (right). Chuck G---
  7. I agree with Chad. Chuck G---
  8. Hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. Chuck G---
  9. Fire you scored big time on this example. Here is another (goal) for you. There are four if not five (different) base colors on these to look for. I have all four but from what i have heard there is an opaque white base one as well as a translucent white base one also. To find these in the wild is VVHTF to do. Most come from collections and you may find one for sale at the marble shows now and then. The compatibility of the two glass mixtures was not very good and that is why they fractured and had blow holes. I might add also that if your example is the (exact) 1/2 inch you do have something, condition or not. Most of these were right about the 9/16ths give or take an 1/16th, half inch rare. Chuck G---
  10. Fire, that is a killer Pelt for sure. The blue av is universal. Chuck G---
  11. I agree with Melissa, MK all the way but (not) oxblood. Chuck G---
  12. Boris, i (like) them BOTH, very nice examples. Chuck G---
  13. Melissa, there are (certain) marbles and boxes that are sought after a lot by collectors now. Boyce and some of his friends put together certain box sets that people look for today, however some of the (less) made colorful marbles people look for now. Those were the ones that less was made per pound in specific colors. I (think) some of the (first) box sets were made for the kids, but other box sets were made after that. I hope that some of the forum members can add to this for you. I do see your bag and marbles for sale at the shows once in awhile, but hardly any box sets. Boyce only made so many pounds of the color combos, and some are very pretty. Chuck G---

    Akro

Mojo, either an Akro or a Master to me. Chuck G---
  15. Chuck G

    Corkscrew

Mojo, a strange example, but i do have Akro corks with this color combo. A messed up glass flow for sure. Chuck G---
  16. Boris, first marble an Alley, second one a very nice Pelt with an added green tracer color on it, very nice example. Chuck G---
  17. Chuck G

    Both NLR

First one a Pelt, second one not sure of. Chuck G---
  18. Mojo, that is a Marble King to me, see what the others say. Chuck G---
  19. Chuck G

    Pelt ?

    X3, i agree. Chuck G---
  20. Fire, I agree a Peltier for sure as i have some of these examples also. These seem to be a little odd, as you do not know what they were attempting to make, a PPP or Rainbo . The base color is different also. Chuck G---
  21. I agree with Chuck, some sort of (wonky) Peltier "Sunset". All the ribbons seem to be on the surface. Chuck G---
  22. Mojo, very nice example and a blessing to have. Chuck G---
  23. Brother Chad, (very nice). Chuck G---
  24. Fire, to clarify this some more. Yes, the name is different and this green opaque base, ("Dragon") green with the red/orange mixing with (separate) black av on it, they call these a Peltier "Gecko". Not an easy marble to find. This example is really deferent with the black av. Chuck G---
  25. Fire, a very nice example. You would have something if this had black av in it. (If) it did can you tell me what you would have? Chuck G---
