Most Vitros are patch construction and most JABOs are swirls. Good starting point to differentiate them

Using the Empirical Method to Identify Ravenswood Blue Swirls

They are just different variations of white/blue Ravenswoods -
I haven't figured out a reliable way to tell the moss agate Masters and Akros apart (hasn't been a real area of interest for me yet). Is there a relaible way?

I believe I have a note about it in my run list. It was one of the Tribute members I think. Sturtz knows. Jeff Hall aka "Truck"

comparing marbles to known examples is without equal. Here are some known white base with blue swirl Ravenswoods. Sure there are others not included in this group but its a more relaible comparison to a number of Ravenswoods than you will be able to find anywhere else. -
Dr. Franklin is the specific name

It’s from Tribute To Friendship

Any connection between BLENKO and marble makers?
Nantucketdink replied to schmoozer's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
yes-back in November 2015 there was a Blenko Run. Both 5/8" and 3/4" marbles were made according to my notes. Let me see if I have a pic of the marbles... -
After reading the colors…yes JABO. On my phone it looks like blue with transparent green and I couldn’t think of a match.
-
It very well may be Ravenswood.
-
I have transparent green Jackson’s that are UV reactive. My Ravens and Alox are not UV reactive. The white isn’t spread out across the whole marble on any of the Jackson’s though like yours
-
Actually, the fact that the white is UV reactive is EXTREMELY helpful in this situation. I haven’t really even checked any of my simple transparent green swirls to see what’s UV reactive and what isn’t.
-
And these are also transparent green Ravenswoods in the upper right of a different type (although some people believe the group is Champion).
-
There are lots of UV reactive JABOs, but that’s just for informational purposes for you
-
Hahaha. Of course there are JABOs like that too…but wasn’t even going to go there.
-
Simple Transparent swirls are tough to accurately attribute unless they have obvious pattern clues. Here are examples of the transparent green Ravenswoods I have in my collection for a comparison. Mine are Ravenswood for sure in this case
-
There are a couple in the middle column that show how swirly this type can get. These are just different variants of this color combo in this 2003 3/4” run.

It’s a JABO Classic circa 1999

Your Memories of Marbles As A Kid
Nantucketdink replied to PittsburghMarbles's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
I do have a great marble story from my Uncle who took the lead shot out of a shotgun shell, replaced with a marble, and somehow managed to put a hole through one ceiling and out the roof of my grandmother’s house. I can only imagine the trouble he got in. I can’t remember more details other than that it wasn’t shot out of a shotgun and was set off on the floor somehow. -
Your Memories of Marbles As A Kid

I grew up in the 70s and 80s and unfortunately the only bag of marbles I had were Asian made coke bottle cats. Hard to believe I even got interested in marbles with that history. However, my mother had a single small jar of marbles that she added to whenever she found a stray that was randomly in our dining room. My Dad had a small container of marbles I never even knew he had stashed away that he gave me after I started collecting. -
I believe 1996 on the first 3/4”
