These two I am posting were sold as old German machine mades. Don't really know how to classify them or attribute correctly.

Found a photo of an Alley Pink Lady PATCH. They really did make at least one patch. Next: purple and pink

You're on a desert island ....
Nantucketdink replied to DINDO's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
A whole lot of Corning glass fiberglass marbles to melt down and make a boat hull with to get off that island. -
Great link with great copyrighted photos.

Enjoy the lamp! Screw a lightbulb in and put it to work (if wiring is still good which it probably is). That is a very nice piece! Nice grab.

Where is this lamp for sale? They are extremely special. Ron can have first shot of course if that is what he asked.

They used to use apples to get the nice ruby red color in some Champions. right? I remember reading that entertaining story. Do you all know how many felines gave their lives over the years in Japan just so America could continue to enjoy our cats eyes. I believe the formula was 50 eyeballs per pound of base glass.

The most recent thing I have are the 2/22/17 peewees made on the Vitro machine. They were plain looking blue and white as it was basically just a test of the machine. That's the most recent thing I have received from JABO. They may have put some gold leaf on a couple of industrials since then, but that ain't making marbles in my opinion. There were several runs in 2016.

How do i positively identify Oxblood?
Nantucketdink replied to Mr Meteorite's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Buy examples of the various Akro oxbloods. Hold them and look at them. You will never mistake oxblood again. -
Is it really 1.22 inches?
-
It is totally a Vacor IMHO but absolutely nothing wrong with having it checked out in hand.

They are still available on ebay in bulk for cheap. I highly recommend buying a group to better help familiarize oneself. They are quite nice marbles for the price as Galen noted too.
