  1. Here's the Green Fizz I sold on eBay this month. https://www.ebay.com/itm/374321567439
  2. Oh, wow! Now that I look at the backlit image, it does look like bubbly butter!
  3. I remember several years ago that one of the identifiers of a CAC swirl is in the first photo. It's the "tongue" of glass that has all of the colors of the marble.
  4. I absolutely LOVE growing heirloom varieties of tomatoes, potatoes, peppers etc...
  5. I thought Akro for a awhile, but the filaments on the top pole are the key (and the seam).
  6. I think I have one. And like all of the grilled cheese sandwiches I make, it's a little bit burnt.
  7. I'm so glad that y'all are here! There is so much help in so many ways. The best! I'll hold onto this marble because it's the closest I'll get to a CAC Blue Lace.
  8. When I'm brought into a group and start asking questions there should definitely be more opinions... lol
  9. I'll second that! My Dad and my brother were both in the Army. I love them and all veterans who gave so much to maintain freedom.
  10. Is it the seams that come part way down the side that make a person say, "Vitro"?
  11. Matthew wrote back rather quickly... "Thank you for reaching out and contacting me. I still do some marble polishing, but on a very limited basis. Right now, I am in the middle of refurbishing an old house we are going to move into, so I won't be doing any marble work until later this Spring. Will you reach out to me again around April? "Generally I charge around $25 for big marbles that are 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter." So anyone with marbles to polish gather them up and be ready for Spring!
  12. First one: Japanese Mushroom? 5/8” Second: Green opaque Alley? Lights up under UV. 11/16” Third: Imperial 1” Fourth: Vitro? 5/8” Fifth: Ravenswood Sixth and seventh: Kokomo Thanks all you lovely people!
  13. I sent Matthew an email this morning inquiring about marble polishing. The last YouTube video he made was over a year ago, but his YouTube channel is like that: a video here and a video there. I'll let y'all know what I hear back from him.
  14. I have several big handmades that resemble "a beat up chunk of round glass". Who polishes marbles? Three are sulphides that have been worked and they all look like they have a coating of frost on them. I can't see what's on the inside which has my curiosity going!
