  1. They used to put potatoes in the molten glass to eliminate all the bubbles. I'm thinking the starch floated and created a bearer between the molten glass and oxygen, thus preventing it from boiling and creating perossity. Like Flux on molten metal.
  2. Winnie; sorry so long to get back to you on this one. The dark streaks are color.
  3. Another cold roll crease. Not sure what it is but the base glass Is transparent green with lots of bubbles so I'm going to say someone forgot the potatoes.

  5. You guys are funny! Ok Steph, the imperial has been removed but It wasn't easy. I love the color. The biggest is 1 1/4" there are a few under 1/2" Illhavethat1, all but one space is filled. I should have put the imperial in there. Kbobam, I took them out into the Montana sun and warmed them up. We're good to go! You guy are the best!

  12. Winnie, this wire pull thread has really helped me. I have quite a few after going through jars and jars of old marbles I had. Every time I learn something new I end up dumping them all out and finding something cool I didn't know I had. Thanks!

  15. I can't seem to get a picture of the right base color. The base glass is carmal brown. Red, orange and black are very close.
