  1. Do you know what the agate the lion has is held on place by Ron ?? I found what looks like a metal pin glued inside pee-wee agate I have ?? Just wondering if ya knew or have ran into this before?? Some form of a metal pin in this pee-wee, @ smaller than .50 not much room for error, this mib is faceted. Not sure if there's glue holding it in or what ?? I'm figuring it had to be part of a letter opener or something similar?? There appears to be some form of metal pin holding near the back feet of your lion ??
  2. Found this definition of "Blood Alley" i. e. "Real Taws" on a link I have been using to research old and foreign marble terminology. I seen the pix Hansel posted before of Blood Alleys and was intrigued as I had never seen them before, only heard of them. LINK : http://www.americantoymarbles.com/glossary.htm
  3. Hmm ?? Lots of the newer MK has a pinkish base like yours ?? Definitely not MK though ? On the fence, not enough for me to go on.

  6. "Onionskin Hammertime" Some do have inner cores of color, this one definitely doesn't, guess this one's already been gutted. Through the Rabbit hole w/ a Maglite, what once was a huge marble
  7. Faceting has multiple "flat spots" like the faceting on a gem stone thus the term "faceted". I agree, faceting can be very hard to see sometimes : light faceting, wear, damage etc...

  9. My "Sunday Best" Alley metalic, has wider ribbons of an iron color and thinner ones of a copper color throughout the marble. This ones a little bigger @ 13/16ths. One shot outside in natural sunlight an the next inside under artificial.
  10. Yes, they all look like Master Brushed patches to me !! Nice pix Gladys
  11. Glad you put this post back into circulation Steph, an important part of marble history/
