    x2, Pelt Rainbo
  2. "Onionskin Hammertime" Some do have inner cores of color, this one definitely doesn't, guess this one's already been gutted. Through the Rabbit hole w/ a Maglite, what once was a huge marble
  3. Faceting has multiple "flat spots" like the faceting on a gem stone thus the term "faceted". I agree, faceting can be very hard to see sometimes : light faceting, wear, damage etc...

    x2, whacked out Rainbo
  5. My "Sunday Best" Alley metalic, has wider ribbons of an iron color and thinner ones of a copper color throughout the marble. This ones a little bigger @ 13/16ths. One shot outside in natural sunlight an the next inside under artificial.
  6. Yes, they all look like Master Brushed patches to me !! Nice pix Gladys
  7. Glad you put this post back into circulation Steph, an important part of marble history/

10:30 pm here, had to walk the dogs before I sack out, take care Roby
  12. x2, foreign, probably an Asian made
  13. One end looks like a melted pigtail and the other looks unfinished, probably late Victorian, i.e. 1870-1910 ?? Faceting on one end would indicate an earlier manufacture date i.e. 1850-1870

    I'll vote Imperial (foreign)
  15. Maybe we need to buy some oil paint and felt markers ??
  16. My Mothers favorite shooter from her childhood she gave me when I was 10, a little better shape & I might be able to tell the manufacturer, one side does have a bit of feathering so Pelt ?? maybe Akro ?? Either way a warrior that'll never leave home.
