Chad G. replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
I think only the Pee-Wee is undyed Jason, of course I can't find any facets on it so, almost positive it's machine ground ?? Never the less, undyed but still not the great size yours is. -

Threepete, "I" was the one in error not Art

...... I concede, Steph & Ric are right ! An "ade" base isn't an "opaque" color LINK : https://www.marblecollecting.com/marble-reference/online-marble-id-guide/akro-agate-co/

The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...
Chad G. replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Nice William, your collection is growing "fast" -
Yes !! A highly uv. reactive "special" not a Popeye but a little harder to find.
-
Is the one on the (L) uv. reactive ?? The one on the (R) is a "special" and has the collector name "Lifesaver" center is a regular cork. If the one on the (L) is uv. reactive, (a 99% chance the base glass is yellow) not transparent clear thus not a Popeye but a special, some will beg to differ but the base glass must be "Clear transparent" and also have the whispy white strands in order to qualify as a Popeye. If uv. still a very desirable mib. The "lifesaver" on the right is also very desirable
