    "Welcome to Marble Connection" Bennington, fired and glazed clay marble, probably came from Mexico, yes it is old. Others will chime in W more info, I believe yours is called a fancy Bennington because of the mottled coloration.

    Try a 5000 K daylight bulb, low wattage 15 if you can find it but 20w is ok, macro setting if you have it, the av should show then, try a neutral background, I found grey felt most effective, so the camera focusers on the marble not the background. A little tweaking and you'll have it perfected
