Slags are rough Akros by default imho... if no other prominent traits point to other makers...

So a true transitional would be like it sounds ..no pontil marks but more than likely a 9 and tail pattern from the hand gathering then rounded and smothed over with the rollers.. So MFC,Barberton, CACs and akro ..hand gathered and machine rounded in the early 1900's. Any others ? Mabye Peltier?

From what I gathered Barberton glass and Novelty produced machine made slags only for a couple years in the same area as MFC's factory. So was Barberton glass and Novelty the second machine made marble company after MFC. Newspaper article says until Barberton glass and Novelty opened MFC was the only factory of its kind in the country.. Interesting stuff 🤔

Thanks Al. No I got a bulb from the jewelry show...I'll take it out and post a pic . It seems to be doing well . And I just use my Samsung on pro setting 🤞 most of the time I only have to take 20 pics to get 4or 5 worthy of the marble....

Thanks Al. Was it a company who packed these or was it an individual trying to pass off as old packaging . Looks like a mix of jabo mabye earlier ones and looks like some swirls . Would those be champion... Might have to open for educational purposes....
