  1. I collected football cards for around 30 years, but for a brief time I did pick up a box of baseball or basketball occasionally. I recall busting boxes looking for the Frank Thomas "no name" rookie (1990 Topps I think?) Cracked many packs hoping to hit it but too no avail. Not sure about now, but at one point, Beckett had this particular rookie card listed at about 2 bucks straight from the pack. The error card without his name on it? A cool $1,500. I'm sure it's way down now, but maybe the Graded copies are fetching a decent price. Thought I would share 😊
  2. Not a bad score today, separated these from the cats and such. Plus a couple of Akro pumpkins too go with my bigger one. Individually, a few I like 😊
  3. Welcome James! I myself was born in Indianapolis and lived my childhood in Indiana until moving to Florida in the late 70's. Lived in Rushville, West Lafayette, Carmel, Jamestown. Don't recall which one is closest to Shelbyville but I have been there a few times years ago! I still have cousins there, most notably Jim Neal, son of Judy Neal. But anyway, welcome to MarbleConnection 😊

    I'm so proud

    Wasn't it inevitable though? 😊
  5. I'm glad I posted it now, had no idea about it's origin as I never really looked it up. Patty remembered her family having collapsible cups while camping when she was a kid and told me what it was before I opened it! Happy you guys liked it and looking forward to seeing it's mates!
  6. I found it at a 2nd hand shop for like a buck. A piece I couldn't pass up for sure!
  7. This qualifies as round (for the moment)....any guesses too what this is?
  8. Beautiful marble on the 2nd one!
  9. Happy Akro Friday....besides a few pieces in there, my slowly growing Akro collection. Right at 100 pieces, looking to add some more tommorow with a group outing to an antique mall I haven't visited since last year 😊
  10. No matter what the consensus, I yell "Keepsies!!" What a beauty of a group. Rick, in your last pic, 11:00 wedged in between the 2 green ones, is that pink? Like that one!
  11. Nice bunch! Absolutely love #2
  12. I'd love to see that photobomber back on the left πŸŽ΅πŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒπŸŽΆ
  13. Thanks Ric, that was my best guess as far as color was concerned...
  14. A little goofy on the banding, but an MK Spiderman maybe?
  15. Ok, I'll be the first to jump "off track"....this ring was found while metal detecting in rural Spring Grove, Minnesota. It was approximately 8, maybe 9 inches down. The site was an old farm that has been around since the late 1800's. I might also add that the Spring Grove area has a heavy Norwegian influence, which could offer some clues to how this ring found its way here. I want to say it's made of tin, feels like it anyway, very lightweight. So far, I haven't found any information on it's background. After a brief search, I have had it stored away until time allows me too dig deeper (no pun intended 😁) So many possibilities I would think!
  16. Nice row of mibs yourself! Personally, I would like to know a bit more about my green/yellow one. I should post more pics of it with better lighting sometime....
  17. Made from the 1890's up to the 1930's....and the collar came with a tiny bead in it. Wish I had that collar! 😞
  18. The little Czechoslovakian bunny charm. When made, it came with a little collar, which sadly wasn't with him when I found him mixed in with a bunch of old marbles. It's amazing this little guy has survived almost a hundred years without being seriously damaged! Love this little piece of glass 😊
