Really getting into this Pelt explosion of posts lately ð

Is it me or has the past almost week just been Pelt Rainbo crazy? ðĪŠ

They normally get anywhere from 12 too 20 inches here in southeast Minnesota, but people have been known to bring in 24-26 inch beauty's. My biggest one Sunday after I caught that baby was about 13 inches, I don't like keeping anything under 15inches ð

I did get them much bigger later and also spotted some that are brand new too the world (if you look closely you can see them at the surface)

Well, went fishing at one of my favorite spots and caught my first trout of the year! ð

Marble is 0.66 and has the same black "material" as the Rainbo I posted, only in little chunks on and below the surface. What do we have here?

ID'd as a Metallic Pelt Rainbo, quoted as being a very tough find. Another marble I have had for a while, discovering it for being a Rainbo after closer inspection and posting it for exact ID. With rarity being the case, thought I would share on a Rainbo thread!

Backlighted. Light does not come through. With a magnifying glass, I can see little glimmers of metal...Thanks again for the ID and tips!

So this would be considered a 3 color? (White/Yellow/Black) When I first got it, at a glance I actually thought the black was on the surface! In hand it resembled dry paint.

I think these are both Pelts? Having my doubts a bit...the yellow and green has a little black speck just below the surface...the clear base has 2 very faint white lines characteristic of a pelt. Also that black "line" is a bit unusual. I don't know, their patterns seem Pelt to me?

I just read the aforementioned post that we both referred to and I didn't see where you mentioned clear glass base as harder to find than others, just that some were harder to find than others. This info is all great and thanks for the added clarification! Makes a guy want to research his clearies ð
