I seem too have acquired these same symptoms....driving and spotting an old barn and thinking what might be inside, walking past them in my house stopping to look, first name basis at several stores, stashing here and there, even wondering what they are "doing" when I am at work. Wondering though, does waking up at 3am with your mind racing (what I am experiencing now) qualify as a symptom? 🤒🤧 Oooooh Noooo! I think I have been exposed 😳 I should have never touched that $7 plastic tub of marbles back in December. Now look what's happened. Being consumed by the wants associated with this ailment and now I have cast myself into this motley crew of individuals. Something deep inside inside me though is telling me that everything, one day, will be ok. Glad I got that off my chest. Thanks for starting this column, such fun! 🤣

More nice pieces! Hopefully I'm lucky on my hunting tommorow 😊

Really, really great information, Ron! My fiance loves collecting vintage miniature tea/dish sets AND the miniature glass animals. I just read this whole article too her and showed her your pictures. Super excited too go hunting! Already sounds like Funday Friday begins in Winona then down to Lacrosse. We usually branch off in different directions when treasure hunting so I'll have to write down the above names for her 😊 Rare indeed but one never knows! Thanks again for an outstanding post!

Yeah, Chad; lots of posts and alot of them recently are my fault! 😝

She's nowhere near finished with hers either. As seen, she started picking up miniature porcelain and glass animals also, mostly vintage also. Funny how some of my rocks ended up in here!?!? 🤔

Yeah, still can't believe I got that one and the other one for only $20 apiece! My gal collects vintage miniature tea sets along with shoes and hands and is slowly placing her favorite pieces in hers.

It was marked "Akro Agate " on the tag in the display case I found it in but wasn't absolutely sure with it only having the markings shown and not actually stamped with the name. Didn't have enough on me but there is a mate for it at that place. With the positive ID, I will be picking it up today.

Picked up this nice little hunk a couple days ago. Someone had used it at one time for a pen holder. It just graduated too marble support 😊

Welcome, Raisin...you are now a member of what I consider relaxed, fun, and VERY knowledgeable group of collectors....I just joined at the end of March and love the experience. By the way, nice green shoe in the picture; my lady collects 😊

I have a handful of these also and at first glance through the jar thought they were clearies. Interesting. With and without flash.

A small group of this particular marble was with a mix I picked up yesterday. The base glass varys from green, blue and an Auburn.

I've been learning that there are so many variations of this variety of marble but would like to know about the grey base glass. Thanks for the input! Added a single shot of each marble, 2 of them are 0.62 and the other 2 are about 0.60.
