  1. Very nice grab...I'm following a lead tomorrow on some more pieces...wow that's quite the deal, fantastic one-two punch there Chad!
  2. We hit Cresco (Tin Ceiling Antiques), Calmar (Whistlestop Antiques)and Decorah (The Depot) in Iowa today, a 4 hour jaunt where she scored and I struck out as far as adding to the glass masses but did grab a couple things...Hoping too get some hits tommorow then maybe some fishing for crappie, bluegill and northern 😊 See about posting some pics tomorrow 👍
  3. Where I scored yesterday, she scored today with 2 vintage, intact fishing kits made in occupied Japan, 2 of those lacquered figures (paper people she calls them 😊), 3 bone china miniature dogs and a sizable amethyst horse (which I helped her with $$). Least I could do for the sake of showcase space 😁
  4. Yep, she has a whole room upstairs called her "fun room" for all her collectibles 😊
  5. I do believe that's it. Got a bunch in the basement.
  6. Patricia (my other half 😊), told me today she is going to move her teacup sets which will free up a 6 shelf corner curio with built in lights. That will help for a little while.
  7. Like everyone says, they are tougher too find out there! I like the antique malls, as the vendors restock regularly. Doesn't hurt to get too know the owners and some of the vendors as alot of them attend estate sales too restock. I kinda put a bug in their ears and sometimes the results are good 😊
  8. Nice! That's what we did today, hit a 3 level antique mall. I actually cherry picked a handful too, also for a buck or 2 apiece, along with some Akroware and a nice slag glass owl. Good looking group there!
  9. Funday Friday it was...scored some Akroware, a slag owl, a few mibs and another animal for my collection...after which we enjoyed some Authentic Mexican food...
  10. Comments well deserved! Like "The Rifleman", you shoot straight 😊
  11. I like the pink and the bluish/white tumblers. Haven't seen those colors before. The pitcher is a little bigger than my other one. Also love the green saucer with its swirls.
  12. Not Akro, but one cool piece of Imperial slag worthy of posting 👍
  13. A little nicked up but a Foreign example?
  14. I'll try it again here in the display lightning, both sides...the side where it appears too be 2 (2nd and 3rd pic), 1 ribbon is thin and the other is really fluffy and somewhat out of line? It looks like there is separation so looking forward to opinions on the different looks.
  15. Funday Friday! Going here today after my gal Patricia's PT appointment. It's been almost a month and most vendors here stock regularly as Winona is a known tourist attraction around here. ETA 6 hours and counting 😊
  16. By the way, where do I find what you have out there already? Being newer too the marble world, I've apparently missed outed on what's out there based on your experience? That would be fun too check out.
  17. I would love to see a documentary made on your life/involvement with marbles and the marble world. Heck, even a book penned by yourself. I'm sure I would echos of approval from everyone else! Your knowledge, where you've been, what you've done, there wouldn't be enough popcorn in the world too supply the audience for that! Always loving and appreciative of your detailed information 👍👍👍
  18. You immediately took my mind to my place of employment, Miken Sports. We produce sporting goods products, mainly softball and baseball bats and batting helmets (The ones you see MLB players wearing in the batter's box) We used to make our bats exclusively with a composite/kevlar combination. Now in recent years there has been a transition too mainly silicon barrels with a separate handful, or two-piece bat. The flex technology Is now based in the handle/barrel connection point instead of the barrel itself. Why? Cost cutting too compete against the rival companies. Sorry too get away from marbles but had to spew that out. Back to mibs!
  19. Nice. That just helped me out alot also, Ron. If it was mentioned before, I must have either missed it or forgot about the Jabo/ Vitro process connection. I should re-review my Jabos. Great information.
