I associate big blow holes with Pelts. Of course we only see the very best in books and posted images. I have never been a big show attendee, so I suffer from the lack of discussion on this type. Did Kokomo’s suffer the same with blow holes? Kokomo had the same machinery and many of the same recipes for the glass. Maybe—just maybe—the middle one could be a Kokomo imho. What a delight that would be! I appreciate all opinions and hope for some more info on this subject. Marble—On!!

Alley made some great transparent green glass marbles. Check out the “Mountain Dew" and the transparent “Corals”. The Mountain Dew would be a nice one to have—not yet—lol. A Killer color combo for sure. I am a color guy vs a pattern guy. I think that Alley is as close as this one gets. I appreciate all opinions and welcome them. Nice marble! Marble—On!!

I agree. The bottom right does not fit in. The top one is killer--really nice. The top three I would call Aquamarines. The bottom left?------maybe? I appreciate all opinions and welcome them. Marble--On!!

Agreed. If you get it, post the one in question. It might be a fun one for a thread. Marble--On!!

Why do we all get along so well here?

LOL. Someone got me mixed up with a Zamboni driver in Colorado🤪. I am quite capable of stirring the pot. I just prefer a spoon made from pixie dustto one made of cast iron. Stir the pot----- always------give your opinions for sure, do not be shy----just be nice! This is what keeps us going here on "TheMarbleConnection". Marble--On!! -

When I see a request after this long I will either give my best or give it a Bump. The top left is a WVS imho--the rest are Jabo. I appreciate all opinions and welcome them. Marble--On!!

My truth is that they could all be Alley Agate. My only question would be the one on the right. I really suck at WVS ID and all opinions are needed and welcomed. Marble--On!!

Oops I found one more from this weeks buys. This one is 3/4". Maybe the newer collectors do not like "Bricks"--I am OK with that--lol. Marble--On!!

This one is not perfect @11/16" but for this day and age--not too shabby--I put it in the "Brick Drawer". I just love the original finish regardless of the hit marks. Those little dimples just make me smile ear to ear. Marble--On!!

This is a wonky Pelt "Rainbo" imho. I appreciate all opinions and respect them all. Marble--On!!

Back to the original post—Please. I do not think that you stepped on too many toes here. You have purchased a guinea marble enough said, It just is not a CAC Guinea. I have purchased fake guinea’s myself. I know what the originals are; I just get them for future ID. I remember back when I was about 17 years old. I purchased a Van Gogh that I thought might be an original print—“Sunflowers”. LOL I still love it but I learned a lot after that purchase. Guinea’s are probably the most imitated marble ever known. Every glass maker that knows their stuff probably has tried to make one. As far as rarity—yep they are rare if you compare them to an Akro “Egg Yolk and Oxblood”. There are plenty out there yet, you just have to learn the trade. I hope that you did not jump on this one with too many dollars. My first purchase of what I thought was a CAC guinea was about forty years ago—it was a very dusty Vacor—lol. Live and learn my marble collecting friend. Let’s just keep it nice, we all are here to help—not discourage in any way. We have all suffered defeat and we have all learned from it. Imho yours is a nicely made USA torch made guinea, someone tried very hard. Marble—On!! -
