  1. Still fun for sure! I agree with what you show being four colors. The brown is a bit weak but it is a Vitro color. This one is what it is—a nice big Vitro with four colors plus white. Now the meat and potato’s fact wise imho. This one more than likely came from the same run as many of the more desirable “Parrots”. The Parrots were a veneered marble meaning that the colors were not deep and they covered a white base glass. White showing is a no-no to collectors of this type (just a tiny bit will be accepted by many). This one is just a wanna-be—still a nice marble though! Imho—same run—just not enough coverage. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble—On!!
  2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/226077568904?itmmeta=01HTTHMN5899MEA8G5NNV2RGEJ&hash=item34a345ef88:g:U3wAAOSwMdpmDe47 A very nice bunch of marbles!! The container is not too shabby either. Marble—On!!
  3. Is that the "Sphere" in Las Vegas? Killer--what ever it may be. Marble--On!!
  4. Thanks Steph, I think that these originals with the brown included were more of a limited production marble. The boxes were made and purchased--stockpiled and the more colorful “Uniques’” were sold as such. The boxes that were recently being sold on e-bay are very “unique” to each other for sure and they are all Akro. I really doubt that the sale to Master had anything to do with the naming of these. Of course—this is all speculation and I just love this stuff---- Marble—On!!
  5. I love it too------but size always matter in marbles ID. Marble--On!!
  6. Akro "game marbles" often had a glow to them and I believe that many other makers did as well. Do not be surprised to find an Akro "Flinty" or a "Moonie" involved with a box of gamers. I have found them--you will too. Marble--On!!
  7. If only I could trust my wife to sort marbles--what a gem Mojo! Marble--On!!

  9. Yes--pretty rare to find in my world though. A rare size as well. These are quite simple to the untrained eye—but pretty rare to find in my world though. Check it for UV reaction.--if you check them closely --they are even rarer. Try to line up five ---or ten of the same. This is what I do. Nice marble!! Marble—On!!
  10. This is the only Akro of this type that I have ever found. I believe that it is a "Hero". Marble--On!!

  14. I agree with Vitro--nice marble!! Marble--On!!
  15. The books are what they are--they are a good start for sure. Hero’s shown in the books and Unique’s as well are a very rare thing to find individually, let alone in a box full. I will stand by my assessment of "Unique’s" in the more generally found ones. Akro changed up many ID’s of the marbles that they sold—these that I show are more common—yet rare in the box form. I appreciate all comments and hope to see some more. Marble—On!!
  16. I wish that I could find this one--- I just figured it to be a weird "Zebra". Marble--On!!

  19. While my wife was pregnant with our first boy we went to a not so local restaurant for our anniversary. She ordered a seafood platter—surprise---one item on the platter had bones involved, like chicken bones. They turned out to be “Frog Legs”. They grossed her out—I munched them up—lol. Frog legs --on!!
