Very cool marbles! Not a pontil but cutoff marks imho. This one is a WVS and if it is not an Alley Agate I will be surprised. All opinions are welcomed and needed. Nice find! Marble--On!!

Here I have posted a “Frosted Michelangelo”. It is not an easy find but as you can tell it is just a version of the Michelangelo that has been tumbled. This one came from a friend overseas—love it. Vacor has made many different runs of this type. Vacor has made a number of “tumbled marbles” in a variety of models. Some are rare to find in the USA. The one that I post here looks like a well used version of a Michelangelo but trust me it was sold this way. @wvrons has told us for years about the uselessness of trying to tumble marbles in any device; this is just an example of that in a much more extensive way. Vacor does what they do, perhaps these were rejects that were recycled—I do not know. If they were recycled, I applaud them. I just know that some are hard to find in the USA. I posted an image of some other Vacors that came from overseas. The Hurricanes are a rare one to find as well. Yours may be a Michelangelo that tumbled a bit too much, or was weak in colors to start with. Marble—On!!

That second one is intriguing for sure. Nice size, twisted interior, dull shear marks or lashes on both poles, cool lavender swath of color. I wonder if it went through a spinner cup. It looks like a Master made by Akro All opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Marble—On!!

My oldest son just switched from being a Machinist (just not happy) to working in a cheese factory ( very happy). He is making more money than he ever did--go figure (string cheese). I worked in cheese when I was in high school--my mother sent me straight to the basement to take a shower (aged Romano) after 10 hours you got used to the smell😁. I still love the funky stuff🦨. Do whatever turns your cork!!

New from the land of Rolley Hole Marbles
akroorka replied to RolleyHoleMan's topic in Introduce Yourself!
Welcome RolleyHoleMan, Everyone here is into what you may bring to the table. Keep us informed and do not be afraid to post some images or links. I look forward to what you have to offer. Marble--On!! -
This is a good one for an ID request. I cannot say that I have seen one like it before and I do not blame for the lack of response. I will take a shot at it though😁. Red transparent base glass, very deep orang-ish/red color into the base of transparent red, nice deep white color. This one took some great hits, nice hard glass. In my opinion it is an older European patch type with thick veneering. The early Asian marbles do not stack up to this one. Odd for sure—love it! All opinions are welcomed and appreciated. These are not an easy find in marbles. Look for a paperweight that he may like--much easier to find in paperweights. Marble--On!!

Welcome gais to the world of collectable marbles. I would consider these to be millefiori glass. It takes a long time to make them and they do not look too shabby. It takes a multiple amount of glass rods put together to achieve this effect, let alone get them all lined up and put into a sphere. The size of these will matter in the final worth. Nice marbles! I just love these old agates with hit marks. If you have any, backlight them for a new experience. These are all shooters with no missing stone—Killers all!! They may be from Germany? Marble—On!!

Red and an off-white to orangish yellow kind of lol. idk Thanks:)
akroorka replied to NeozLilBallz's topic in Marble I.D.'s
Not an Akro imho. It appears to be a veneered marble. My first thought was maybe a Vitro” Tomato”---I do not think so. I think that if this one was cracked in half it would be all white on the interior. (Wrong size?) Eyelashes? All company’s ran with dull shears, I think that the veneered types just showed it less on the finished product. The white showing through at the seams is a good tip when looking for veneering. Chinese checkers? A bunch of companies made them, some much better than others. The Akros that I have seen seem to be dedicated to being the best color wise. The Master Made/Glass Chinese Checker marbles are an easy ID—just a bit weird sometimes. Marble King is a good ID on this one imho. I appreciate all opinions. Marble—On!! -
A red slag I agree, shooter size. All of those round, semi round, quarter round marks under the surface and on the surface are hit marks from playing a game of marbles. The missing glass is also a result of a well played with marble. Some one used this one a bunch. There is no original surface left. Pretty cool really. Marble—On!!

akroorka replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Nice score for sure, I cannot wait to seem some of them indivdually. Make sure to include that 'China". I am drooling down my shirt right now.( not that that is anything new😁) Marble On For sure!! -
No Royals or Moss Agates here. The top four images, the two on the left are swirls that may have come from a variety of makers. The top four images, the second in from the right hand, may be an Akro The top four images, the one on the far right is a Vitro Conqueror imho—maybe an “Exotic Conqueror”. More opinions are needed here. The bottom four rows contain Master Marble Brushed Patches. They are really killer in that deep blue base. All opinion are welcomed and generally needed. Marble—On!!
