  1. I always look hard but I went back and looked harder. I circled what I think you are talking about. I thought that it was a light reflection earlier, my badšŸ˜. Green colors in most makes of marbles will show up with this from time to time. The recipes for green glass have some ingredient that often does not totally melt into the mixture of glass resulting in these flakes. Most folks will call it AV, I do toošŸ˜. Marbleā€”On!!

    Help

These are all Vitro marbles imho. I wish that I could help with individual names--I am just not a name guy. Marble--On!!
  3. They are worth a bump for sure. Just for my opinion--I do not think that they are related. The first one has some history to it that the second one does not. Both are nice! Marble--On!!
  4. I did look at this post quite a few times. I am not a WVS guy but Ron has said what I thought from the start. Just a bit off for Jabo--Close--- but Champion would be a good coice. Marble--On!!!
  5. Jewelry boxes ā€“Yes. You can find some pretty nice ones that are worth collecting in themselves. I keep my Vacor Atmosphereā€™s in this one---A hand-made box for some hand-made marblesā€”very nice. There are some nice mass market boxes as well. I get them when they meet my eye. There are plenty of foam products made if you do not want them rolling into each other. It may come to that some day with Atmospheres and me---I doubt it though. The hand-made boxes are well worth storing any marble that you may collect---less dusting too. Marbleā€”On!!!
  6. Well, it is not a slag, we can all agree on that. I see two different types of white, one may be opalescent. Lots of bubbles---no AV. It is a big marble. The cut-lines could be Peltier, or other. I do not think it is an Akro or a Master made marble. I would not call it a Vitro. It appears to be a vintage USA marble---hmmm-- My instincts say MK, but it seems kinda of big for that. It could be a Pelt.(pass me some popcorn too) Chime in Peltheads!! Marbleā€”On!!
  7. Nice marbles, this post deserves a bump!! The one on the far right is a Vitro imho. Marble--On!!
  8. Vitro Conqueror of some type would be my guess. Marbleā€”On!!
  9. I am getting some Vacor "Rooster" vibes from this one. Marble--On!!
  10. Just a bump-- Nice marble. Marble--On!!
  11. It looks to be a hand-gatheredā€”machine rounded marbleā€”ā€œtransitionalā€. MFC would be a good choice imho. Marbleā€”On!!
  12. Akro sounds good to me. Marble--On!!
  13. It is a purple slag. The light is playing tricks--no blue imho. Marble--On!!
  14. Akro is a good call on this one, that thinner light green streak will probably light up under UV. Marbleā€”On!!
  15. Yes, I quoted myself. Nice marbleā€”still. I hope to see some more input. It will come. Marbleā€”On!
  16. Imperial X2 William. Marble--On!!
  17. I am considering the smooth alongside the rough striations in the glass, the deep fingernail scraping seams and what looks like nil-rolled pockets in the orange. This one may have been one of the first off the rollers and Iā€™ll bet that the many thousands that were made behind it looked a bit different---oopsšŸ˜¬, there I go again---blah blahā€”oh well. These are my thoughtsšŸ˜. Marbleā€”On!!
  18. Be carefull Leigh, Jabos sneak up out of nowhere. Is there any blue in this marble--even a little tiny bit? Marble--On!!
  19. I looked at this marble for a long time. There appears to be some weird little melted areas on it that look like play damage but I think that they are factory made damage. This one would be a great one to take to a show and show around, they are always better in hand. If I had to guess I would say that this is a one-off that is more than likely smaller than what was being produce at its time of manufacture. I would venture to say that it came from a dig site. Which dig siteā€”no commentā€”one of many. I know---blah blah blah, marbles will do that to me. Cool marbleā€” Marbleā€”On!!
  20. I think that you have a nice big Vitro there. I suppose that you could call it a ā€œButtermilk Typeā€ but it is lacking some colors to be a ā€œButtermilkā€ imho. As always, more opinions are needed and always welcomed. Nice marbleā€”very nice. Marbleā€”On!!
  21. Those Vitro are pretty cool imho and they are not too common. Kind of a blob on a blob. Marble--On!!
  22. Yes, I can see myself tossing a penny in just to see what would happen---like putting a penny on the railroad tracks. I remember my brother putting a toad (dead one) in a can of peasā€™ at the local cannery. We were/are all capable of mischief---yum-yum toad and peas! Marbleā€”On!!
