Thanks Al, I at least think that at the very least Mojo is on the right track. These yellow Akro snakes do show up with a white "Tracer" (RIP Gino Biffany). Da Roberto shows a very good argument, a great one in fact. I am on the fence with this one--it hurts to be on the fence. Regardless of the maker--it is very close to being an Akro and it is a well thought out ID By Mojo, also a great response by Da Roberto. Nice marble!! Marble—On!!!

I think that this one is a machine made slag and it may be one from many makers. The bubble pop is a tell for me---more opinions are needed of course---and appreciated. Nice images! I think Akro. Marble—On!!

Killer images Gladys, the one in the big crystal mass is very cool. Marble--On!!

Here is my light box my friend, simple but effective. I forgot to add that the hole in the top is slightly offset so the light is not directly below the hole. I just made it out of scrap that I had lying around. Some nice old pine though. Marble—On!!

I believe that this one is a Vacor "Leopard". If it has an oily, chromic, bright finish---it is one Marble--On!!

Slag vs Swirl? It’s hard to get a handle on these sometimes. Try some images on top of a strong light. I made a wooden light box years ago with a 1/2 hole drilled into the top, I left two sides open to help dissipate the heat. I installed a bright full spectrum light about six inches below the hole ( I am using a white spectrum LED now😁). The marbles fit so no light escapes except through the marble itself. You can spin the marble around without any damage being done to it and you can also take images this way. These dark marbles will reveal themselves and many marbles are easily inspected this way ( AV, Inclusions, a trace of Ox, etc ) I think that yours may be an Akro slag----imho of course. Backlight them all!! Marble--On!!

These are Vacor “Jaguar” marbles, I opened a net for these images. (It did take some time) If you do not have any—get some and be rewarded. All opinions aside—these are my favorite cats that I have from any maker past or present. The closest to a “Master Made Tiger Eye” that will be found. KILLER KATS!!!---just killer!! Marble—On!!

Akro X2---nice one! Marble--On!!

I will just commit to it being an Akro---the name?---"Very Nice". Marble--On!!

Well, I am not afraid to admit that I may be wrong. Here is an old shot of what I have been led to believe over the years is a ”Woody”. I wish that I could do better today—no sunlight—I give up. I have a few---they are Killer marbles and I just love-em. Times/IDs do change—I will admit. Marble—On!!

I did some deep research on this one, this is my first response. It is too bright to be a Cairo imho. I thought that it might be a weird Vacor---Not Vacor imho. I do my main research on Akros—not an Akro imho. If Nantucketdink makes a post regarding a marble---especially Jabo—enough said imho—Jabo it is! Thanks for a great post and images and all of the opinions that have been given. Nuff said! Marble—On!!

I would say that it is a Peltier "Sunset" type. I am not familiar with the name "Santa Claus". (I am not a name guy) Nice marble--it looks out of round due to your editing---just show the nut and lets get on with it😁. Marble--On!!

X20--or maybe 30--Really nice my friend!! Marble--On!!

This was a “Sundays Best” post that made it here instead, a post that all Mothers are more than deserving of. This marble spoke to me today so here goes. Here is a 1” Akro slag that has opal in the base and opal in the white. Due to the imbedded dirt in the seams and the scratching on the exterior, I believe that it is an experimental/dug marble. Under UV light the white displays as a light pink. This one was incredibly hard to shoot an image of---I did my best for the Mothers reading this post, if not for you we would not be here—enough said. I stayed close to my home and I am the closest to my Mother of all of my siblings—about 2000 feet---I Love you Mom!—RIP.( a few tears here) The first image is what the marble looks like in hand—white, as in a white slag. The second image shows it on a black background. The third image shows it back-lit with obvious opalescence, the white looks bluish in sunlight. The fourth image shows it on a white background. What a great marble for Mothers Day, simple in hand and deep in depth, color and –you know, always in the background and always loving and shining. Marble—On---and of course--- Mothers On!!! for sure—I love you all for what you are!! Marble—On!!
