  1. Go ahead and ask me why I will not ID a WVS. These are all Champions, from a dig, from a well researched digger/collector. I have had these since the late 90’s. I always keep my digs separate. I was a classic closet collector for many years and I researched the heck out of everything that I could, including sellers-----I still love research—I am out of the closet now but I still research to find the truth. These are what they are—no doubt. Do some research on Champion marbles and be rewarded. Too many marbles are I’d as------well you know. Marble—On!!
  2. I agree. Marble--On!!
  3. Pink colors always turn me towards Jabo. This is a cullet marble no doubt. As always--better in hand. Marble--On!!
  4. Too much money, be patient. These red colored Akro "Onyx Agates" are a nice find. They do show up in lots. They are usually slag’s under this name but these corks were sold as such in a variety of colors. They come with nice clear red glass as a base and bubble filled red glass as a base---the clear with no/fewer bubbles are harder to find imho. I do believe that they were two very separate runs—years apart They did show up in the Akro Tins with blue, green and yellow/amber of this type as well. Here is a shot of the reds with no/fewer bubbles in an Akro 200 tin. The blues are really killer marbles. The reds took me awhile but I think that they are an easier find than the rest. Marble--On!!
  5. Yes, Akro Corkscrew---nice find! Marble--On!!
  6. It does look Jaboesque—hit it with UV and see what it lights up as. It might just be an Akro Carnelian. There are quite a few Jabo’s that have fooled me into thinking Akro--- Just sayin!! Marble—On!!
  7. Nice one! Never seen one quite like it. I am pretty sure that it an Akro Corkscrew. Marble--On!!
  8. Nice corkscrew. Marble--On!!
  9. Is it Lavender throughout or is there some transparent clear/no color glass involved? It could be a cross-over made between runs of different colored glass. Cool Marble!! Marble—On!!
  10. The black and blue one really wants to be an Akro Corkscrew. A few more shots will help it out for sure. Marble--On!!
  11. I agree with all that has been posted--even mine😊. The Oringinal post---or---OP may be a Champion "Wire pull". This was a good ID post---keep them coming Jeremysvt !! We all can agree to disagree here---I agree with the masses---mostley. Marble--on!!
  12. Home!!---just do what you must to get there. Best wishes and much patience wished to you as well !!! Marble--On!!
  13. Cat-eyes or Pelts? Check them closely----I have an eye for Pelts but it did not grow overnight. Find one in a lot, sort the rest--if they look the same, they are the same, and they just may not have the same construction. I really thought that these were Vitro cats until I took my marble collecting time and really looked. One is enough—then keep doing the search until you convince yourself to either a yes or a no. You are the collector---do what you must do. Cut-lines are a good tool to use in the ID of marbles, matching colors, UV light reaction, and a good eye will always persevere imho. Take your marble collecting time and as always---Research, research, research---Look, look, look---if not you—who else? Do your best and of course---if in doubt—bring them here with some nice images of the cutlines. We all love a good opinion at an ID. Marble--On!!
  14. I would say that the bottom/middle green one in the last image is a MFC. The rest need more images. The Germans Swirls look to be in great shape. The pinkish/blackish may be a CAC. Never be disappointed in finding a corkscrew or three---I love-em. Nice group! Marble--On!!
  15. Akro Royal or Master Comet. Aventurine always will not define an Akro Royal vs a Pelt Peerless Patch. Royals did show up with it in some. I have a trio in this color combo with it, over the yellow. If there is AV in the black that is noticeable then I would say that it is a really/really weird (to me) Pelt Peerless Patch. Master Made Patches are usually but not always 1/3 fill to 2/3 fill color to color or matrix to matrix. Cut-lines matters but there are always other things to consider as well. Comets came in Black and Yellow as well—no AV in my experience. I will commit to this being a killer Akro Royal, and very nice old marble. These came in older 100 count, “Leather look” or “Old book- texture” boxes along with other color combo’s of marbles. Marble—On!!
  16. Here is an image from an old Block auction of a salesman’s sample pouch, very cool. I think that this is the company that made them for Akro---no proof ---yet. The other image shows my collection of advertising pouches. I even found my own salesman’s pouch. They may have all been made by the same company; I just doubt that for my own reasons, more research is needed. The top three and the bottom right match up with the Block auction pouch pretty well, just different colored/stretched leather or older lighting for the Block image; it was an older Block auction. I spent hours looking up the advertising on these bags and have yet to find anything on the Weyauwega Wis. Ford dealer, this one is special to me, I have relatives in that area. The rest were very rewarding/fun-stuff but I have nothing on the salesman’s sample in my collection. Like I said—I love this stuff. Marble—On!!
  17. I have seen quite a few mug-shots--way too many. Yours is the best by far. Thumbs up for sure! Marble--On!!
  18. I tried to reach it on an old dial phone that I have---nothing😁. Not even an operator😁.
  19. The middle one is either Akro or Master imho. Show us where the yellow meets the black at its most rounded point to be sure. I can see the cutoffs from the top in image #3. Marble—On!!
  20. https://www.ebay.com/itm/165463619026?hash=item26866675d2:g:ghYAAOSwuddicAWy These tins could be ordered with special “Printed Pouches”. I have seen a few pouches from the Midwest but never from this far west. The printing looks the same. As I recall, there was a company in Indiana or Ohio that made these pouches. I have never seen one with a tin before but I am convinced that they came this way. This tin looks like a horse stepped on it but I like it just the same. I wonder what kind of cars Gordon worked on. I just love this stuff! Marble—On!!
  21. Akro imho as well. Marble--On!!
  22. Red, White and Blue Popeye. Not so common as the rest but they are out there. Very cool. Marble--On!!
