The box is the thing. It is is great shape. $65 is a good price imho. Akro Topaz on!!
-
The box is not my image---I got it some were—cobbed it I guess. The marble images are mine. Yours may or may not backlight like this one. If Akro ever intended on making a swirl without calling it such—this was it. Not a slag, not a brick, not a corkscrew. A “Cornelian” is a great find, much harder to find than a “Brick” imho. The darker colored ones have a collector’s name that I can never remember, Gooseberry or something like that. I search for these and pay up when I have to---I just love them. A great Akro Marble my friend! Marble—On!!

Good luck my man---The first one that I ever saw went for over $100 30 years ago---My wife said--STOP---The prices on these are just soaring. Oh well!!

That Purple slag is very Nice Gladys! Love it!! Marble--On!!

Thanks for the guess Tommy--nope! These two are Vacor Black Panthers at ---let’s just say 1 ½”—I am not a metric guy. ( I have to change my ways to keep up) Vacor has made the very best attempt ever at making very big marbles—some are just really great—most are not. Marble—On!!

This one looks like a very fine example of a "Cornelian". ("CORN") The old timers used to call these "bricks". (no oxblood in these) I will look back in my images for a few examples. They were marketed as such--"Cornelians" by Akro. The colors did vary from dark red--(almost)a purple to true red. Many were dug. Yours looks legit as a marketed example. Marble--On!!

No, These are collectors names Tommy. I am sure that you can see why. I am not a name guy; to me these are really nice three color Corkscrews. They may have a company name but like I said--not a name guy. I just like them all. Three colored corks are not an easy find, let alone four of them. These may have been in a tin box—all together. The 200 tin and the 150 tin both carried four ¾” marbles as did the cardboard versions. They always varied in size—I would call them ¾” as they would have been sorted by the factory. To find four together is a great thing in my world. As an addition or edit to this answer--these three colored Akros were marketed as Ace Agates. Marble--On!!

Patriot or Liberty, There are not a whole lot of collector named Akro corks. The Akro company did well with that--naming. Nice marbles regardless of the nickname. Marble--On!!

What are these two?? I consider these to be some of the best examples that I have found. I know what they are—give your best guess. Marble—On!!!

This is a group of Vacor Multicolored Cats-eyes from a net. The second shot shows the ones that are filled better, they are surrounded by “Aliens” from a net---Yes that is the name. Blue-ish/green base glass with yellow inside. I do believe that yours are Vacors—nice ones. If you like cats and do not have any Vacors---step up and get a net or two—you will not be disappointed. These images I display are all Pelt banana cats-eye marbles from a 40 count bag---Union Made—I love it. As you can see they all vary a bit from one to the other but they all will go towards the cutoff to the other cutoff, usually in a “U” shape. Some may have veins, some may be translucent, some may be more opaque and some may look like a banana---like the yellow ones. You have some great cats there—especially the blue ones—luv-em---they remind me of a well made Master Marble Cat—Not Master though imho—probably foreign made. Vacor makes some really nice Cat-eyes, some of which are in colored base glass. Steph may have nailed these. It is a great sorting job with nice images. Great Cats!! Marble—On!!

These two are from the collection of Roger Hardy, the KING of Akro Marbles. Both are 7/8” They are known as “Experimental”, they were considered as “discards’”----and usually came from dig sites How do I know?????-----I purchased them from a very, very, respected collector---------No Doubts!!! Welcome Dillon and keep-em -comin. The Elvis and Marilyn marbles are a pretty different and attractive to me. I am thinking that they are Vacor swirls. These "Printed" marbles usually show up on a solid based marble. There are folks that collect printed marbles but they are not usually a high dollar item with the exception of some really old Akro and Peltiers (there may be a few more). Some Pokémon marbles bring good prices Marble--On!!
