  1. Could this one be a Veiligglas marble? Marble--On!!
  2. I like this one--shine a bright light on it and look for some Aventurine--Sparkly stuff. A PPP white and black--simple but great stuff to dive into. Marble--On!!
  3. Seams were not an issue with me Fire--just the color. They could well be PPP---just odd ones. Marble--On!!
  4. There is not a collector here, past or present that would not jump on these at $2. Nice find!! Marble--On!!
  5. You are on the right track--Great research on your part. Peltier Acme Realers are a nice find. Marble--On!!
  6. The green and white one---#4--- may be an Akro---the rest are Pelt Peerless Patches imho. Great marbles!! Marble--On!!
  7. They smell pretty good here in Wisconsin mibcapper--I say this as I sniff my washed but still great smelling fingers. Nice marble by the way---is it a Sparkler?---love it. Marble--On!!
  8. Jabos I think---nice bright white on these. More opinions are needed. Marble--On!!
  9. Another Grey/Great day in Wisconsin---lets Sparkle it up a bit. Akro Sparklers---what more can be said? I am foraging Ramp leaves today, a great meal lays ahead—Sunday best for sure. Marble—On!!
  10. Great eye Ron, and great assessment Guiltynotguilty81. I recall reading that these Jabo tank-wash marbles were not too successful and that one in this shape is a great find. Regardless, it is a very nice looker. Marble—On!!
  11. No glow to these. They are not a common Akro oxblood to find in my experience. If I do find one it is usually pretty beat up. Marble--On!!
  12. The second image shows what looks like damage to me and not a pontil. If that is the case it is an Amber Machine made “slag” imho. Marble—On!!
  13. I think that you have a Vacor "Dragon". Nice marble. Marble--On!!
  14. That is a nice one Leigh. Good eye. It is a tad bigger than you show as well. Measure the marble where the caliper edges meet when it is closed for a more accurate measurement. Marble—On!!
  15. That dark one has what looks like Marble. A Marble marble---very cool. MarbleMarble--On!!
  16. Yes Chad that is it--not gooseberry LOL. I had heard/read also that they were all dug. I think that the two darker ones that I show above may be "Mulberry Bricks". If they did come from a dig--they faired very well. Either way, I love em. Thanks for bailing me out with the name---again😁. Marble--On!!
  17. Here are two “Gooseberrys”( I still am not sure of the name) or darker Cornelians vs a more normal red one in the lower right. These are very well covered—most are not, very sparse would be the word—and they are very hard to ID. Marble—On!!
  18. The box is the thing. It is is great shape. $65 is a good price imho. Akro Topaz on!!
  19. The box is not my image---I got it some were—cobbed it I guess. The marble images are mine. Yours may or may not backlight like this one. If Akro ever intended on making a swirl without calling it such—this was it. Not a slag, not a brick, not a corkscrew. A “Cornelian” is a great find, much harder to find than a “Brick” imho. The darker colored ones have a collector’s name that I can never remember, Gooseberry or something like that. I search for these and pay up when I have to---I just love them. A great Akro Marble my friend! Marble—On!!
  20. Good luck my man---The first one that I ever saw went for over $100 30 years ago---My wife said--STOP---The prices on these are just soaring. Oh well!!
  21. That Purple slag is very Nice Gladys! Love it!! Marble--On!!
  22. Thanks for the guess Tommy--nope! These two are Vacor Black Panthers at ---let’s just say 1 ½”—I am not a metric guy. ( I have to change my ways to keep up) Vacor has made the very best attempt ever at making very big marbles—some are just really great—most are not. Marble—On!!
  23. This one looks like a very fine example of a "Cornelian". ("CORN") The old timers used to call these "bricks". (no oxblood in these) I will look back in my images for a few examples. They were marketed as such--"Cornelians" by Akro. The colors did vary from dark red--(almost)a purple to true red. Many were dug. Yours looks legit as a marketed example. Marble--On!!
  24. No, These are collectors names Tommy. I am sure that you can see why. I am not a name guy; to me these are really nice three color Corkscrews. They may have a company name but like I said--not a name guy. I just like them all. Three colored corks are not an easy find, let alone four of them. These may have been in a tin box—all together. The 200 tin and the 150 tin both carried four ¾” marbles as did the cardboard versions. They always varied in size—I would call them ¾” as they would have been sorted by the factory. To find four together is a great thing in my world. As an addition or edit to this answer--these three colored Akros were marketed as Ace Agates. Marble--On!!
