  1. "Blue Macaw" Fire, these came in different color combos. Marble--On!!
  2. Akro made a Carnelian that glows like the dickens, they were marketed by the Akro company with this name. (as shown above by Chad) There is also one by Akro called Carnelian Oxblood, a collectors name I believe, these have no glow. I believe that MFC marketed bricks as Carnelians, I am not so sure about this one though. It has been awhile since I have seen a box of those. Someone correct me if I am wrong here. Marble—On!!

    Vacor

    "Twister" Fire--nice one. Marble--On!!
  4. I am thinking Vacor on this one, made with some worn out shears. I wish I had a name--not. Marble--On!!
  5. I think that it a Veli Ron. All makers are blessed once in awhile with this green sparkly stuff. I still do not know why--something in the green glass recipe no doubt. The other side would tell the tale for sure. Marble--On!!
  6. This type of jobber box usually shows up quite faded. Most of them that I have seen hold Pelt white based rainbo type marbles. They came in a few different colors. (Green and maybe grey-hard to tell really because of the fading) I was glad just to see a bit of pink with this one. Marble—On!!
  7. Three sides of the top are pink and one side is faded pink--good question for sure Ric, and I appreciate it. This one sat admired for awhile, just as you see it. The pins are gone but there are a few too many holes in the side of the Riker box. I expect that the previous collector looked at them often and had some adjusting/learning to do putting the pins back in, enough was enough and the pins were thrown aside. I feel his/her pain in doing so. Marble--On!!
  8. Those two with the blue are top notch patch types. Old and very cool--I hate to call them MK for some reason but I agree---very nice. The reddish one may be an Akro. Marble--On!!
  9. Killer for a Rainbo---just killer. Marble--On!!
  10. This jobber box of mostly Pelts ( at least two Corkscrews and one WVS are involved ) is shown as purchased, in the original Riker Display box that the previous collector had them stored in. This one came from an estate. Notice the fade lines on the box top—they line up quite well with the edge of the Riker box. Who am I to question/change this one? The previous collector treated them with care and respect; this may just be what the original jobber supplied in this box, who will ever know. It will stay the way that it is---just because. Respect the past collectors and of course-- Marble—On!!
  11. I appreciate all that has been said. (good to see you back Chris) This type of sparkle/defect, whatever you may call it, will routinely show up in a green colored part of many makers and their marbles. We in the marble collecting world will more than likely refer to it as AV for many years into the future. Right or wrong, it is just the nature of this beast we are all involved with. Why does the green color carry this pollution/desirable defect, more than any other color is my question? Thanks all and--- Marble On!!
  12. Six bucks for all three---great score Fire. I would almost feel guilty---almost😁. Marbles On!!
  13. The one on the far left looks like a MK to me. The one on the far right may be a Pelt (bee family) does it have any AV? Marble--On!!
  14. You have to love that Vitro eggyolk color---I sure do. Marble--On!!
  15. Good reading bumblebee, I think that you know which one is my fave---no buttermilk for the OP🚫. I love this stuff--- Marble--On!!
  16. Is there anything cuter than a baby Rhino---really?? Rhino On!!

    MK

Backlight this one Fire, It may open it up for you a bit. Marble--On!!
  18. Finding an orange Slag is very hard for me to do. They are out there but when I compare them to a red one or an amber one I will almost always question myself. They may have been a crossover between the two colors. I believe that Akro made an orange slag and CAC as well, maybe even Pelt did. I have seen very few of any maker that I did not question. They are probably very hard to get a true image of. A true orange slag from any maker, worldwide, is a rarity imho. Marble—On!!
  19. Well Fire, I took about 60 shots before I posted these. My eyes are still shot. I will get lasered next week. I have never heard of any blind marble collectors, I do not want to be the first one---but if that is what it takes--my dogs will help I am sure--lol. Marble--On!!
  20. Fire, I can jump onto the Vitro train with yours. The OP has some hits that I would consider as a lately made marble(the last thirty years or so). It could be a Jabo. These strange ones always have me looking for damage. I believe that it is much younger than the Ghostley image that you may find in the OP.. I still love this nut the best!! Marble--On!!
  21. I was going to post this one in the MK Monday thread. I have had it stored with my MK’s for years. This may be a better place. As always give me your best opinions, they are all appreciated and respected. Thanks, and Marble—On!!
  22. Here is another one at just under 7/8”. I had always considered this one to be flawless and wondered if it may be a newer knock off. It does have facets, highly polished but still there. I thought, no way this one will shine light through it. It sure does and it shows a few hits as well. It helps to light these. I am now convinced of its age. Of course the hits could be faked but I am still happy with my findings. Agate On!!
  23. Yes I agree--these slags can show up fully filled and some times almost naked. Nice blue! Marble--On!!
  24. Thats a nice big Pelt Gladys. Marble--On!!
  25. Some really great Images Fire. I love the pink. Marble--On!!
