  1. Yeah, the first guy looks like it has a pinch pontil. It's probably a 1930s Yasuda.
  2. The transparent ones are all around 0.70" and the big orange and white guy is 0.76".
  3. Here are some more I got from the Nebraska marble museum.
  4. I think the one in picture 3 is Chinese (like 1930s or 1940s).
  5. These guys are all 1 inch shooters (I like the crudeness of them).
  6. These look a lot like the 1970s ish "made in Taiwan" cat's eyes:
  7. This guy's funny, I looked very closely all over the marble, but I couldn't see any pontil at all. Was the pinch/crease line smoothed out in the marble making process?
  8. Thank you so much for posting this! 🙂 I live only a couple hours away from Anacortes. There's probably tons of these marbles in western Washington. I was also always curious about how to differentiate these guys from other vitro/JABO products.
  9. The gray base glass is super seedy and fizzy. I think there's some dark frit from the oven mixed into the bubbles.
  10. By the way, I just found this guy a couple of days ago:
  11. Nice ones! (I love the background too) it makes the marbles come out really crisp. L
  12. Thank you! 🙂 It is really interesting to see the variety that Japanese transitionals come in. Both Dave's and mine seem to have a lot more white than usual. It's almost like the white is the base glass and not the swirls.
