For what it's worth, I think you're doing a great job as a moderator Art. -

Omgosh davesnothere! This was a fantastic video. Outside of the marbles, I loved your music selection, literally had me be-bopping at my desk. Very fun, looking forward to more if you're doing them -
😆 FANTASTIC photos! 🏆 I should have said in my original post though, thank you for sharing the AV Zebra, good information.

That Brown base is really cool VaMarbles! Superboy The second one looks like English bacon or prosciutto 😋I guess it's time for breakfast. Two cool Pelts imo.

Beauties 😍

Chad, these photos are amazing 🤓 😮

Thank you both. I'm always learning Edit: This one will be saved as an Akro, I was thinking possibly a Master only because of the brown. I'm always hopeful for an Akro . Are you guys saying the AV is dense enough to cause it to look brown?
-
I'm guessing this is a Master? It looks like it might have brown under that AV, which is the only reason that I'm thinking it might be Master. 23/32"

Absolutely! Please keep posting, a lot of us (me) are learning right along with you Marblemanvintagemarbles

If it is an egg-yolk, it's an extremely pale egg-yolk

Wow! No kidding! 🧐 Very cool Alley, thank you for sharing Ric.

Thank you Ric! I do think of the off-white as a separate color and it is mostly sitting on the surface, but I'm not sure I'd call these Specials, or Prize Names for the ones that have only Blue and White or Blue and Yellow. To be honest I can't really think of an official name for these types other than they are on a translucent base. They were a favorite of mine early on. That smokey base almost looks like some kind of Ade base to me, but it doesn't glow. The smoky base one is top left, and the bottom middle of the group on the right, that base does glow ! Ahhh Akro, full of surprises. I'd love to see the Alley! I have one marble that looks similar to these colors but I'm not comfortable calling it an Akro, the Blue is more transparent inky Blue rather than the Colbalt. And I'm trying to get more familiar with other marbles Finally.

1. I love the two Blues together with the off-white on translucent base 21/32" 2. Cobalt and wispy White on translucent 11/16" 3. Orange, transparent Red, White, and Green. The Green runs through the center of the marble, seam to seam. 4. Orange, transparent Red, and White 21/32"

Oh no. . . . . I'm not, not at all. I've only focused on Akro.

Hmmm, I can see arguments for both, but I see an organization to the patterns of the glass in the OP marbles that I just don't see in Jabo, but in all fairness, I do not know Jabo.

I'll throw a monkey wrench in here . . . I can see why you are thinking Akro, VaMarbles, especially in the left marble in the first and third photos, and the right marble in the third photo. I can see the wrap around at the seams, I don't know a better or more technical term than that. I have two photos of Akros that I'd like to share here that makes me think yours are Akro. The first one, is a very lazy cork that share the colors of yours and shows how the wide flat cork looks at the seams. The second one is also a very wide cork that shows the pattern of what I'm trying to describe as the wrap around at the seam of a wide lazy cork, the two photos on the right. -Jess

I love that she had marbles in her purse when you first met her, and that you made sure from then on that you had some with you in case you ran in to her ❤️ It seems like her son would be happy knowing that her collection went to someone who could appreciate not just the marbles, but her collection. This is such a great hobby.
