  1. I also. It does appear there is an internal layer of white on all three
  2. I vote nothing but Akro for both.
  3. I think all true orange glass slags are CAC. Akro red glass slag glass can look orange or even yellowish depending on how thin or thick the glass is on top of the swirling white . But the glass when thick is actually red

    Akro Ades

For some reason some of the bottom ones just do not seem to fit into the Moss Agate type to me. Maybe not "mossy" enough?
  5. Mon, you're getting slow. 3 lefts make a Right
  6. If you got an architectural template for drawing circles many of the marbles that fit through the holes "may" not be true peewees. You have to be sure the hole isactually .500 of an inch
  7. Sorry, no pics, they were not my type of marble
  8. I sure did. I got them out of that small group. I believe it was at a Vegas show about 5 years ago
  9. Did some yard work today wore the wrong shoes, bent down to give them a good massage and I did not burp. You all, already know what did happen (LOL) Sorry Steph, but you did start this thread (LOL)
  10. Those mystery mibs sure look like dug Akros. From the Bird era. And I covet that top CAC
  11. Oh yea, you can click on the pic to see the detail, Funny, I have a Johnny Cash song playing in my head right now.
  12. Steph is never one to miss anything(LOL) I will probably attempt to unload everything come retirement time. I have always bought for personal viewing enjoyment and to better my collection through trading. I have a lot of stuff out on display in my home. I will be downsizing when I retire. Everything from Marbles and related stuff, Andrew Jackson, A. Lincolns and G. Washingtons hair ,the Audubons and many other bird, flower and study engravings will go, I may hang on to the Picassos and the Gold but nothing else has an anchor on it. I do enjoy this piece very much. Pencil and ink. Over 3 feet tall. Ann, you may find this interesting, read the signature. Actually known as the CAC
  13. More anchovies. I always rinse mine first in ice cold water
  14. chicken carcass rice soup. brussel sprouts seasoned and sauteed in olive oil to be drenched in store bought mexican cheese sauce product.
  15. you go running today, and crooked miles are as good as straight
  16. This is too depressing of a Thread. I don't know how anyone can keep picture of the one they lost . I even have to delete some of my pics when a nice marble leaves home. I do keep some so I have just a little memento of a great marble
  17. Sorry Edna I never told anyone not to respond to my post. I was trying to get other opinions on the marbles and why they think differently than I, But it seems you and Crazy have to take the shots at me. No big deal, I expected it. And I expected you to be the first. ,When I see new marbles resembling old I may say something. I should be able to with out folks taking personal shots and telling me what I should or should not post, Come on, lets get past that.. Really no different than the person making a similar post for all the new runs. And heck, it is 2 days short of a year since I said anything negative about the new runs. Marble collecting is fun. Not as fun as it used to be but so far still fun. Going to shows all over the country having get togethers with other collector friends, heck even getting invited and going to a new run is fun. Lot more new mimics in those jars at antique shows but that must Okay to most.(i do not like it) Lot more jabber about Jabos on the boards and thats Okay to most Trouble being after you reach the $50,000+ in marbles purchased the hobby does get a liot more serious. And when you see new marbles being produced that resemble old marbles It isn't much different that the fake Chinese coins that have hit the coin collecting world (at least they can get the coins graded and hope they get a good grade and a nice value). Sometimes I think I should have stuck with cateyes. I might be having more fun.(LOL) It is amazing how well stinky old bait works after a whole year
  18. There are some very nice marbles coming out of the new runs. Just wish they could(or would) make em all sweet and different from the vintage types.
  19. I am not positive but I believe the are a late 60s type?
  20. I have seen a small group of the amber based bananas. I gave a 2 away.
