  1. Japanese Pinchers is another common name for them
  2. I forgot to mention the wastepaper basket by the desk gets dumped into the recycling can,
  3. I understand completely Bob, and being in California I feel guilty every time I t .urn on a water faucet for any thing. Even got dishpans in the kitchen sink and as they fill up, take em outside and water plants. Every front yard on the street and most yards everywhere(except where the greedy rich folk live)are dead brown. Even the big street trees are starting to suffer.
  4. I for one just don't bother with reserve auctions. Live or online Don't know why exactly. Just kinda seems to take the fun out of it.
  5. As Steph says a lot of marbles were boxed as peewees that were over 1/2" but that means nothing in the collecting world. A lot of size sorting was done with 2 rods like a marble run than got slightly larger as the marbles rolled down. They dropped down to containers underneath as they rolled and fell through the widening rods, So there was a pretty big size variance it what actually got boxed. CACs are just kinda close(LOL)
  6. don't see a Marble marble in that group of beaters
  7. As Steph says 0.500000000" or less to be a peewee. I have seen some pretty heated action from buyers that bought a marble that was supposed to be a peewee and it measured over 1/2"
  8. Gold does not sparkle so we can eliminate that. And goldstone is what most all " Lutz" actually is.
  9. Maybe we will see you in Canton this February at the Buckeye Marble show
  10. Great word, I shall be using it (LOL)
  11. All I can see is Jabo
  12. One or the other I kinda lean CAC but the swirling does look more Alley???
  13. I can not think of any as I believe Arnold was gone from Peltier before they used the name.
  14. Sorry sworn to secrecy. And the marbles are almost as incredible as to how they came to be in the new owners possession. Maybe some day the owner will tell the story publicly (hopefully soon, because it is by far, the most incredible marble story I have ever heard.
  15. High end stuff is going well, you will probably be happy, although reserves seem to keep some folks from bidding.
  16. I posted it that way because so much guess work has been involved with CACs and names. Guineas and Moons (not Moonies)are a for sure but what other marbles are we absolutely positive they are what the company marketed. The bloodies are very tough because many of the boxes appear to have been back filled. I have wondered for some time if they were not really just CACs version of onyx swirls(after slags)???I wonder if we have Jennies and Bloodies reversed?? Maybe Rics pic in #5 is close to correct???
