I think most of the sparkling on the precipitate, is, I believe, from small micro fractures that occur on the globs.

Similar in that it is a material that has precipitated out of the mix of materials that were used to make the glass. Or possibly a contaminant? Too much of one material may be a cause? I do know an overabundance of the metal Oxides used as colorants can make aventurine. So it does seem possible an overabundance of other substances may show up it other ways.

Very nice! The solids sometimes do not crystallize. Similar to the clumpy crud on many of the stringers in wirepulls(orange ones??)

I was making a point that, the crack in the marble is far from an annealing fracture. It is a fracture from being mistreated, and that someone in the business as long as they have been probably knows or should know that.

but it is just an annealing fracture(LOL) Why would a seller with half way decent rep have to go and mess with it just to sell a beat up mib????

Heck Lloyd, I have to set a week aside just to read the owners manual. Got it Monday and will need the rest of the year to figure out all the buttons and controls. But it sure is fun having a car that you can set the cruise control on 160. Problem now being I just did traffic school 2 months ago for a speeding ticket so I can't get one for a year. Or it goes on my record and I have great Insurance rates I don't need going up! It got up to 90 yesterday so the neatest button I found so far is the seat cooler!!!! Yea I miss the 64 Impala with the 327 but this beast is even more fun. And I hate to say it but Jaguars eat Impalas.
