  1. The one at the bottom of the first picture was just short of the state record.It was 15&1/4 inches. In the bottom photo,lower right is a white perch that was 15&1/2 for a size comparison for the others. CANT WAIT FOR THE END OF MAY!!!!!!!!! FILLET AND RELEASE IS ON!!!!!!

  4. That kind of thing has been on my mind,since I first layed eyes on a marble machine.
  5. Well,Ive heard them called "english swirls" and "layered end of days",and "layered josephs coats". This is the first time Ive heard submarine,attatch to the id. Call it what you want.
  6. Id go with josephs coat.I dont think I would apply the "submarine" term to it. Many onionskins,and josephs coats have color "inside" the marble.You just dont get to see it,unless there is a clear panel.
  7. If I had the right equipment,it would be possible. 5 years schooling,and another 15 + as a machinest.

  9. The Decatur, IL Spring marble show is scheduled for Saturday April 4th at 9:00 AM with room trading on April 2nd and 3rd. Tables are limited to 14 so get reservations in ASAP. Tables are $25, call Charles Garrett for tables at 217 422 8454, and the Country Inn and Suites for room reservations at 217 872 2404. I was think about going for a drive.

  12. Well,you know Im gonna be out there for the week,between the marble festival,and the show. Might have to get you to "show" me,a couple spots,down your way,Ron.(Ill have an extra rod). You can be my "guide",but I can only pay you with alley's.Is that OK?---LOL Ill check ot that spot you mentioned Duffy.I know where that is but didnt fish it----yet. Its been years since I was at Kentuky Lake.Some nice geod hunting on some of the cliffs.
  13. Dont "know",anything,but I would guess some type of knob,or finial. I have seen,early german,"china" knobs,but not that pattern.
