I'm blinded by my opinion on this one...

Alley never made any this large. Most Alley animals or birds are crystal clear. Some are opaque, and some are painted thin on the outside. I have two which a Mary Hazelbaker gave me. She worked for Alley at Pennsboro . She brought them home from work. She lived about 200 yards from the factory. I have also had the larger birds. It is not Alley. It is worth about $3.00-$5.00 .

The original is a clear base glass. CAC Blue Lace ALL have amber base glass. The original is a clear base with blue and white. Plus the white was to hot it burned and turned brown where it was thin. It is modern, Jabor or DAS ? DAS had trouble for a few years getting marbles to spin correct. The pole is twisted because the hot glass glob did not spin in all different directions in the first few grooves of the rolls. -
When you sort 2000-5000lb.s in a eight hour shift, under a bright light through your fingers. Some non standard will be missed and escape to a collector someplace. Many people just call them experimental. Which they are not. But that makes it worth more.

a machine made with a bad roll mark. A error marble, a mistake that should have been discarded. To hot, oversize, burnt coior, Maybe Vitro.

100% Jabo.

Berry Pink was the godfather to Beri Fox the current owner of Marble King. Beri got everything that was in that office in NY. Beri on the left. Felica Delp on the right. She wanted to meet Beri and it was a good day. Thank you Beri ! Made in the USA. Notice the painting on the wall. It is on the wall of her office behind her desk. It is the original oil painting that Berry Pink had done. It was in Berry Pink's office in NY.

From the pictures, I agree it might be a corkscrew. Maybe a partial twist cork ?

Could be Jabo or Cairo or others. Cairo Novelty had lots of weird clear base and yellow stringy cat eye types. Some of those glow and some do not.

Vitro early cage style cat eye. How many vanes or stripes are on each half of it ? Is it a eight finger ? Later Vitro cage cat eyes can twist more and the vanes can also go more inside the marble. They can have numbers of vanes from four to eight or nine. Most Vitro cage cat eyes are 5-6-or 7 vanes twisted near the outside and inside of the marble.
