    I.D Help

Not sure the one on the right is a Vitro Tiger Eye. If it is, it is not a type two. I am having trouble seeing the pictures well. The nuts are more clear than the marbles . The color of the marbles looks dull and fuzzy. If the marble on the right has a blue pole or patch on one side. If it has a white ribbons around the center and a tan or brown patch on the other pole. It is a clear base, then it is a Vitro Tiger Eye type three.
  2. With that clear base and made the same construction as a Vitro Helmet. I agree with Vitro.
  3. A rare and sought after Jabo.
  4. The only pee wees that Vitro produced which I know of are. Single color transparents and single color opaques.

    Vitro ?

Any Vitro pee wee would be very very rare. Unless it is a single solid color transparent or single color opaque. I would guess Akro.
  6. The arm is getting longer. A Blue Angel is a muddy base and six ribbons. Blue Angel is going to confuse people in this thread.
  7. I thought possible Jabo but all the damage looks older than seen on most Jabos.

    Tricky

Contemporary or maybe ground and polished from cullet.
  9. No worry, they will roll out when unexpected. They always do. Nola and I lose marbles in our houses every week. Almost every week, she will say" I found it" . Where did she find it ? Right where she put it or left it last.
  10. I would guess that this last pot is a rare one. With that glass and the painting on it.
  11. Hi Buddy ! What does that marble look like with normal light.
  12. Myself I don't care if a default in or on a marble was a as made or after made. It affects the value for myself. I will not pay $100.00 for a mint marble. and also pay $100.00 for the same similar marble with a blow out, a roll mark, or fracture labeled mint with a as made. It just does not make sense to me, to pay the same price for no as made or the same for something with a problem, non standard production. Would you knowingly buy a new car with factory(problems)As Mades ? At full retail price same as the other non As Mades. For myself any as made should lower the value.
  13. How do you or they know it was a cold roll mark. Where they present when that marble was made ? Most roll marks 95% are hot roll marks. Only on start up are the rolls cold. They didn't start up often. They ran 24hrs. a day 7 days a week anytime possible. The hardest thing on a marble machine is letting it set idle. The rolls will begin to rust in a few hours. Then the rust contaminates the first few hundred or thousand marbles. Then the cold roll marks happen until the rolls get heat in them from the hot marbles rolling across them. Roll marks happen all during the operation because of many different things. But they are not cold roll marks. Cold roll mark is another marble term that is used wrong 99% of the time.
  14. I am for sure not 100% always correct and never will be. Just go with the information you have at the current time. That may change tomorrow, next year or years ahead. I have learned and changed marbles thoughts and identifications every year for about thirty years now. Being willing to change and staying up to date is a big part of marble collecting. It sure keeps it interesting.
  15. No surprise that companies named their marbles Rainbows or Rainbo .
