  1. Diane Brandstetter attached the name Exotic to these about twenty years ago.
  2. All Cat Eyes are 100% machine made, no hand gathering, no hands on. Transitional marbles are hand gathered to a machine for rounding. Part hands on work and part machine made. Total machine mades came after transitionals. Transitionals are the time frame of switching from total hand made to total machine made.
  3. Just a patch and ribbon Vitro.
  4. Nothing bad. Fingers did not follow brain. I do it almost weekly. Just now I wanted, follow and typed fallow. Had to retype it.
  5. Not a Tiger Eye.
  6. Vitro Exotic Conqueror. Vitro Conqueror - Phantom Conqueror - Fancy Conqueror - Exotic Conqueror - Neon Conqueror . Elite is a collector name for better(bright colors and clear)Vitro Tri Lites.

    Tri-Lite

Looks like a very nice Buttermilk to me,
  8. It is 100% MK. A newer (2000's) version of and older MK.
  9. 50+ pink Benningtons. Careful !
  10. Compared to the Jabo swirls, yes the Jabos with 2 cut lines and ribbons are far less numbers.
  11. I don't think your cork will have aventurine. Yours is a common Akro corkscrew color combination.
  12. Most of the Jabo tank wash marbles were either plain or very nice and some bright unusual color combinations. The tank wash marbles each time were all small numbers. A normal run was 2000lbs. The tank wash was from 100lbs. to 300lb.s . Not every investor run had a tank wash before the run. The vast majority of marbles produced at Jabo were swirl style. But very little 100% with marbles. There were a few times at Jabo when ribbon or patch and ribbon style were produced in small numbers, After Dave McCullough left in 2012, there were a couple runs which looked very close to 5/8 opaque Vitros. Jabo and Marble King- Dave and Beri had a agreement that Dave would make the swirls and Beri would make the ribbon or patch and ribbon style, as MK had done since they began making marbles. After Dave left Jabo, more two cut lines and ribbon Jabo marbles were made. Jabo or Marble King could make either style marbles.
  13. Depends on if you are closer to the east coast or west coast. There are two totally different Peltier marbles with the same name Orion's Belt. Both need to have aventurine. Both are rare to find.
  14. They are around but no hybrid is common. Most hybrid were not planned. Most of the hybrids do not have names because they are a mix of other color combinations that already have long established names. A few colors combinations of two different named marbles do have a name. But usually just well know two named marbles colors on one marble. Usually these are during a color change. Like half cub scout and half girl scout. With these the colored ribbons and patches are more separate. The hybrid colors bleed onto and over each other thinning and looking like another color. Hybrid can be a long discussion. Not blends. Hot glass colors do not blend together like paint to make a new separate color.
  15. High chance being one of the many Jabo tank wash. Many of the tank wash marbles were made on the transparent blue base industrial marbles. Some of them were very nice. Some of the industrial marbles were almost clear and just slight blue, some were darker transparent blue. Some were shades of transparent green.
  16. Hybrid MK. But I would not say Watermelon. There are big numbers of hybrid MK with some kind of green and reds. This one has yellow, a Watermelon does not have any yellow at all.
  17. I think that I remember this one as Jabo.

Ok we know where the Flamenco come from . I wonder who or what it stands for ? I still have a few hundred Last Dance marbles. But not the one above and I don't remember it. But that's not unusual. All of the Last Dance run was dark, we almost lost it, It tried to go black.
  20. I got the sad news today. My condolences to his family. Andy was a good friend of over twenty years. He was already missed since his health went down. He was a long time member and big supporter of the WVMCC. He was a regular at the WVMCC shows and Sistersville WV shows. He was a kind, honest and special man. Rest In Peace Andy Davis.
