romanoak
There are marbles and then there are marbles. First time I've posted pics of this one. 2-1/16" single pontil, lobed mushroom core with 16 lobes of suspended mica. Oh and it is mint! It has been fun and challenging photographing it. Enjoy. VTAndrea
Whoever made that one was a true artist. Mind-boggling. I bet that one cost well over the typical mortgage payment!!
JVVmarbles
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet! What a marble! Thanks for sharing! The only thing what I have in my collection that comes a little close to this one is this 2-1/4" single pontil cloud with floating blizzard mica:
romanoak
Andrea, It was the most painful marble purchase ever. It took about 8 hours of anguish as the seller picked the 10 best of the 7/8" exotic onions on my solitaire board and then trying to value them and then switching a couple out that I couldn't part with and starting all over. I very seldom trade anything I put in the collection but $$ weren't the primary currency for this deal. Basically was exhausted and euphoric when got done. I'll get some more small onions to fill the board. Don't know if I'll ever see another one like this. Bill
manddrakes
Wow! Are you sure your not leaning to one side. That one looks worth an arm and a leg and hand full of marbles for sure. Super score!
I'llhavethat1
Man, unique marbles like this is about as good as anybody could ask for from a handmade. Thanks for the pics, it may have been some tough bargaining, and from the sounds of things there's still some nice 7/8 exotic onions floating around too! It's encouraging to see that examples like this exist. Awesome.

romanoak
Jeroen, Spectacular color on the core of your cloud, most of the blizzard mica onions I've seen have pink or orange Bill
