jormibnut
This is the only one I've ever seen of these except in the Mareble Mania book. It has a few edge chips but not too bad for its age. Probably early Victorian. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to its value? I haven't got a clue and could use some HELP ! raynsandy
Im sure if you started it on ebay at .01 and no reserve, it would at least come close to its value? just guessing...?
lstmmrbls
Very nice! What is the size?
jormibnut
It's 8 3/4" in diameter and fairly heavy as you'd expect for ironstone. My guess is that its English ironstone because of the popularity of the game over there during Victoriania. I guess you can find almost anything at a Wisconsin estate sale. jormibnut
Any more thoughts on a value for this one? I may bring it to Decatur just to show. Art
BobBlock
I have one that's light green. I bought it in Amana about 10-12 years ago. I think I paid about $450 at that time.
I'llhavethat1
I'm thinking more about what marbles would have nested on that board over the years, wow. German Tactics font/pattern/colors seem more predominant, maybe lends a clue to age + origin

jormibnut
WOW! I knew that you were heavy into marble collecting, but I never knew that you also collected dogs.
ziggyzora
There was one just like it on Ebay (only one I've seen)up to a year back, sold for about £80 (if memory is correct).
BobBlock
I should probably clarify that the one I bought in Amana bears a Rosenthal mark on the bottom.
