kbobam
Winnie, was it you who ignored the 'Please Don't Feed The Ducks' sign?
winnie
LOL,I knew someone would say something about feeding. No ban signs about feeding here in Amsterdam,I think thats the reason why we have so many birds here.
kbobam
Sounds good to me! Winnie, I know this isn't the 'What Are You Listening To Now' topic, but I can't help myself. Here is one of the greatest songs of all time. From long ago, when I was a hippie! ( : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZYgWn7-WOw

kbobam
You got me. I am a little. Wish it was practical to be even more so. If you'll allow me, I'll borrow your classic sign-off and say 'Peace'.

sarab
The green heads are male mallard ducks, the tannish-striped are the female mallards and the dark gray are coots. Be happy to be a bird resource even if I can't help with marbles!
Steph
I wondered if it was two genders of the same species but I was surprised by thinking they could be so very different looking.

lstmmrbls
There appear to be some Black Ducks in the group. Says the Wildlife Management Graduate who obviously has bad eyes

lstmmrbls
That makes more sense Winnie. I was thinking Center right but looking closer the blotchy coloring of the bill makes it more likely a Mallard type. And lots of years have damaged the memory(LOL) I should know what the bottom left bird is but am at a loss. (It could be a Ruddy Shelduck) https://www.google.com/search?q=black+duck&espv=2&biw=1097&bih=541&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=YRTqVKzGBMjyoASE6YDQDg&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ#tbm=isch&q=black+duck+vs+mallard&revid=1606369173
winnie
Do you mean this brown one in the middle,he is not common here,a kind of rare.
lstmmrbls
Hey I got that one right!!!!! Shelduck for sure, probably a South African Shelduck not a Ruddy. The male Black ducks look a lot like female mallards with a solid orangish beak
