Indian / Clambroth ??

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys mate here in Oz was telling me he has a few dug marbles found during his bottle hunting

On the phone it sounded like an Indian but now having seen the pictures im wondering if its a Clambroth but it has that one fat stripe which makes me unsure

I'd go for the banded opaque name also. Unless it's not opaque. Can you see any color ( dark purple, blue, green, etc.) if you put a very strong light behind it?

Hi Ann i did ask him before i posted and he said no light will pass through it

Thanks very much for the input to all , and thanks Randy i hadn't considered a banded opaque basically because i'm still learning but now you have mentioned it i've compared it to my 2 banded transparents and yes i think you have nailed it

Thanks

Doh ^_^ I still think you were right the first time :)

What do you reckon i call this one, i found it under a porch bit beat up with a decent size chip but is the only example i've been able to rustle up in me travels

those red spots i first thought may have been paint but are glass in the surface , Has yellow stripes just below the surface and white stripes in the core

I would have thought its a Transparent submarine indian
